Americans' top concerns on the most important problem list in 2017 focused more on how government operates than on any particular domestic or international policy issue. Only about one in five mention any aspect of the economy as the top problem, and there is no one specific policy issue that pops up as a dominant concern.
Rather, Americans appear to be most worried about the way in which their government operates and about the people who occupy positions of leadership in the U.S. -- including the 20% who mention the government per se, and another 7% who mention the need to unify the country. Coupled with that are smaller, but significant, percentages of Americans who are concerned about the lack of ethics and decline of morality, and the lack of respect Americans have for one another.

I don’t believe it for a minute. Let’s all the internals including exactly what the questions were, could you pick only one, and all the demographics.
I was on Zogby’s email polling list for at least 2 years. Way more than 10 years ago. Boy, was that an eye-opener. Total bulls*** questions that were nothing but funnels designed for specific outcomes.
Funny how once Trump turns Alinsky tactics back on the Left and starts WINNING, civility suddenly rockets to the top of the list of “concerns”.
Media’s favorite “expert” Larry Sabato says you need to add 10 to any poll on Trump’s side dealing with Trump’s numbers.
Taxes, bottom of the list. Might be because 10% of the Population pays 70% of the Taxes.
Being a Minority, they don’t Poll well.
People never hear this just like they never hear that 5% of the Population (young Black Males) are responsible for 50% of the Crime committed in this Country.
The Truth is too inconvenient.
I tend to completely dismiss polls during this cold civil war.

Ask Amtrak passengers if they like government conductors and the government inspecting tracks and training operators..
Government being the “top problem” and high taxes are inter-twinned.

A good sized and growing segment of the population doesn’t answer calls from anyone not on their contact list. Nor do they talk to people who come to their door.
There are no accurate polls, and none are going to appear any time soon.
Outrageous taxes go along with bad government and bad government mandated healthcare. They aren’t separable.
When roughly half the people aren’t paying taxes anyway, is it any surprise that tax concern is at the bottom of some pollster’s list?
Only 3% said environment/pollution. Take that Hollywood and Al Gore!
Health care may be very expensive and a problem . . . but American people cause the problem for themselves for a great great many. Far too many abuse their bodies with food especially.
The only issue the ‘rats have is anti-Trump, which probably mostly accounts for the vague number one issue.
And if I do accidentally talk to someon I lie through my teeth......about everything. Even the color of my skin. Lol
