The comments at the end of the article are interesting and perhaps a window into the soul of the British. Most seem very hostile to both this tiny precious child and even more hostile to those who offered the parents hope.
The comments at the end of almost every article on DailyMail are corrosive to the point of evil, unless the article is about something transgressive then it’s “top lad” or “good on them” or some other treacle. The site is indeed infested with Russian trolls, but there seems something in the average UK commenter’s personality that demands horrible snarking and pessimism.
Their children, like ours, have been taught for decades to hate their country.
I understand that “snark” is very much a part of their language, but for heaven’s sake even the most cynical could suspend the snark when talking about a dead little child, at least that’s what I think.
I believe that most of us would just take a pass on commenting at all.
I would say that they are taught from childhood to hate the US too. In all of my years I have never seen a president of the US so insulted and abused by a supposed ally.
Their media has always been anti-American, who can forget “How Can 60 Million People be so Stupid?” Bad manners in their press has always been so, but now it extends to their government and their people as well.
Yes, that’s why I included our children too in my statement. 8>)
Our children are taught to hate our country, but are they taught to hate Britain? I do believe that British children are taught to hate the US.
Their government insists on it.
Oh I understand now, and yes you are probably correct.
I wish I was wrong, but unfortunately not. :>)
