He is accused of assaults over a 14 month period, and the article never says if she sent any of those emails before the first encounter, or if they were all during the course of the 14 months after the first encounter, or if they were all after the 14 months. So, this could easily be a scenario where she appeared normal the first time, then inundated him with the emails during the 14 months afterward, to where he became increasingly uncomfortable with the situation and finally decided to end it, at which time she cried rape.
