A lawyer for the Trump presidential transition team is accusing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office of inappropriately obtaining transition documents as part of its Russia probe, including confidential attorney-client communications and privileged communications.
In a letter obtained by Fox News and sent to House and Senate committees on Saturday, the transition team’s attorney alleges “unlawful conduct” by the career staff at the General Services Administration in handing over transition documents to the special counsel’s office.
Kory Langhofer, the counsel to Trump for America, wrote in the letter that the special counsel’s office is aware that the GSA “did not own or control the records in question.”

Immediately thought Mueller had overstepped his bounds.
Don’t you have to have a warrant for this? What could he have possibly used as a basis for the request in front of a judge?
He hasn’t found anything to this point.
And honestly what is Mueller hoping to find in TRANSITION EMAILS..Trump was already President..he can talk to, request his transition team talk to ANY COUNTRY HE WANTS TO, including Russia
Even the POTUS has rights under the constitution, right?

This has nothing to do with the stated purpose of the SC probe.
Obviously they are desperate to try to scrape up a hint or a clue of anything, without regard to the original mandate.
Definitely, Mueller ought to be behind bars asap!!!

If he didn’t have a warrant or court authorization I’d think this is a gigantic issue.
If he did have a warrant it would still be a huge issue to know how he got it, why it should be issued for the transition period, etc.

The GSA career employees who released this should be arrested and fired. Typical government employee political parasites. As to mueller...

I hadn’t actually considered the “Tansition Period” part of that, even though it was blatantly obvious as something to question.
I had merely wondered on what basis he could request anything after all the interviews. It’s fairly obvious there was nothing found with which to justify a subpoena for these sorts of documents.
