Am I the only one married to a woman that does stuff FOR me, instead of to me?

No. Most of our wives, including mine, do plenty for us.

But I've been around long enough to know that women aren't exactly innocent when to comes to complaining about men. Men may make a joking comment or two about their wives to their buddies, but women generally have elevated discussions about husbands to an art form.

Nope, you’re not the only one; I married well too.

She tries to do 2/3 of the work in the family, especially things that she’s good at or that will make me happy. I try to do 2/3 of the work in the family, especially things that I’m good at or that will make her happy.

She is not perfect, but neither am I, and she is pretty close. She tells me more about her day than I want to hear, but I get to enjoy her voice and just looking at her while she does, plus she is much more relaxed once she has talked it all out. I know she is just talking, not asking for solutions, so I don’t have any desire to make suggestions unless there is a specific question.

I put the toilet seat down, just in case she doesn’t look, since I think it’s polite and not getting stuck in the toilet at 3:00 am matters to her (and I don’t want either of us to deal with her falling it at 3:00 am either), and I don’t care where the seat starts. As far as I know, she doesn’t expect me to read her mind. If she was ever expecting that, by now she has learned that I don’t even know I should try.

Possibly. You are lucky. I love women. I see what they are capable of. Bitter disappointments. They have all the power and they wield it poorly.

Nope. My wife is not perfect... but she’s DARN NEAR perfect!!

Wouldn’t trade her for the universe.

My first wife, however... just like Kim Jun whatshisname, always looking to start a problem. Always.
