Conventional wisdom is that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asleep at the wheel – from recusing himself unnecessarily from the Trump-Russia collusion investigation to doing nothing about the politicization and weaponization of the Department of Justice. He also gave free rein to his deputy A.G., Rod Rosenstein, who is in turn allowing Special Counsel Robert Mueller unlimited time, money, and jurisdiction to investigate President Trump's entire life.

I’m continually surprised by people here on FR who act like a guy who won the most stunning victory in a presidential race by running a very unconventional campaign is somehow sitting there in the White House making boneheaded decisions and letting circumstances dictate his future.

Yes to both...that information has been in the press for two weeks and posted on FR a number of times. The fact that obama appointed him hasn't stopped him from uncovering some pretty awful stuff and making it known to Congress ahead of his report. His report is going to be a game changer.

Ideally, you would want the scandals to reach a crescendo as we approach the midterm elections. Whether or not that will happen is impossible for me to know, and it is equally impossible for the "Sessions is asleep" people to know that either. I prefer to keep an open mind and watch with great interest as events unfold. That's all any of us can do, and there's really not much we can do to change what, if anything, is about to happen.
Having watched the unfettered criminality of the Clintons and their cronies over the years, we all feel the frustration that their demise hasn't happened now that we are almost a year into the Trump Administration.
But I have faith in Mr. Trump. He is no dummy (dummies don't build skyscrapers), and he surely knows what a difficult and dangerous job draining the swamp really is, now that there have been physical attacks (if not assassination attempts) on two members of Congress. He has my full support.
He’s one extraordinary patriotic man against a 4 trillion dollar corrupt stasi state, both parties, corrupt courts, and fake media. He’s not superman. Some of us are realists. Others are pollyannish loonballs.

sadly, republicans aren’t that smart. nobody will go to jail for ANY of this. I’d wager there will be no indictments either. they’ll all walk. just like the Clintons. The US is completing its decent to a banana republic.
