Black Lives Matter leader sues Fox News

A civil rights activist is suing Fox News and network host Jeanine Pirro, alleging that she made "false and defamatory statements" about him while discussing the Black Lives Matter movement.

DeRay Mckesson, one of the movement's leaders, said that Pirro defamed him when she claimed during a "Fox & Friends" segment that he directed protesters to commit violence against police officers, according to The Baltimore Sun.

The lawsuit centers around remarks Pirro made on Sept. 29 while discussing the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by a police officer who was injured during protests in Baton Rouge, La.

"Pirro's statements are untrue and further a narrative that I, and other activists, engage in violent protest," Mckesson told the Sun.

The lawsuit contends that Pirro's comments "are false, and were either known to be false by Defendant Pirro or were made with reckless disregard for whether they were true."

Fox News said in a statement to the Sun that Pirro's on-air remarks were protected by the First Amendment.

MSN is a terrible news source. They truly suck.

Fox News response sums it up:

“We informed Mr. Mckesson’s counsel that our commentary was fully protected under the First Amendment and the privilege for reports of judicial proceedings. We will defend this case vigorously,” the statement said.

During the Baltimore Freddie Gray riots and protests, D-Ray was just about the primary agent provacateur. D-Ray had been hired by the Baltimore School Board to staff a $165,000 per year no-show job at its headquarters. D-Ray’s arrest records list an address in the tony Baltimore neighborhood of North Roland Park. The tax assessment records show the residential property is owned by a Jewish couple (wealthy Jews living in the affluent Baltimore neighborhoods are at the far upper end of the liberal/bolshevik scale). In this neighborhood, there may be a few older black owners but young black men seen there are either doing handyman work, looking for B&E targets, or actually doing the B&E’s. Dollars to donuts this is a Soros financed and run critter.

The government isn't suing her, the BLM guy is. If he can prove that the remarks are false and that Pirro knew they were false when she made them then he's got a case. Now having said that, proving it is quite another matter.

BLM is a terrorist group masquerading as activist for a just cause. The BLM is a subversive terrorist organization. If anything they should be sued for malfeasance. Being Politically Correct with this organization is more than dangerous, it is idiotic.

The government isn’t suing her, the BLM guy is.

But he’s doing it in a government court, which would impose liability. So the First Amendment is in play.
