The state Monday dropped the breach of peace case against Lucian Wintrich, a White House correspondent for conservative website Gateway Pundit, in connection to a tussle at a speech he was to deliver at UConn last month.
He was present at court but did not appear before a judge. His lawyer, Norm Pattis, met with Tolland States Attorney Matthew Gedansky. Later, Pattis said the state recognized Wintrich was retrieving notes that were stolen from him when the incident happened
I obviously think its wonderful that finally the system corrected itself, said Wintrich in brief comments outside of court. We dont want to create a precedent that people can walk up to speeches they find disagreeable and steal them. I mean that's really not what America is about.

He should never have been arrested in the first place.
The woman who took his stuff should have been arrested. The guards should have been reprimanded for letting her get that far, and another reprimand for not stopping her before Wintrich got to her.
Waiting to hear what penalties the non UCONN skank received for ripping off his notes A rip of that was premeditated and planed.
“I mean that’s really not what America is about.”
I’m really tired of people telling me what America is or is not about.
The UCONN Campus police need some additional training on arresting the proper perpetrators.
His lawyer, Norm Pattis... said the state recognized Wintrich was retrieving notes that were stolen from him when the incident happened...IOW, no damages, no consequences for the perps, no apology from the local yokels, the damage is done, your lesson is learned, don't come back you conservatives!
Catherine Gregory, 33, of Willimantic, was charged with attempted sixth-degree larceny and disorderly conduct following the Nov. 28 incident. She was arrested over the weekend.
I read a full story elsewhere and apparently charges are pending against the thief.
“An attorney for Gregory said she took the speech as a form of protest.”
This self-righteous ugly lib finally gets arrested for what was plainly a theft on her part.
Guilty.
What a proto-fascist loser.
>>He should never have been arrested in the first place.

Exactly. If the police officers, oops, I mean Law Enforcement officers, had properly done their job, they would have figured out the correct person to arrest.
Now, because of their actions, this innocent person has to have his name and the officially charges against him permanently in the national criminal database.
Tolland States Attorney Matthew Gedansky is one of the better State’s Attorneys.
Comes under the heading of “you might beat the rap, but you won’t beat the ride.”
thanks. I envy you and your “retirement” position. Died and went to heaven rings a bell.
Is that a person who got arrested an XX human...it looks like Bigfoot mated with Nancy Pelosi....
Yo, Salvie! Watch my back!
I hope so. Jackasses need a 2 X 4 to the head once in a while.
