Christ. You can see the point where she apparently caught the scent of the guy, then things happened fast.

Yikes!
.44 Mag is good but if I was actually seeking out grizz I'd want something extra.
Maybe an AR10, AK47 or a 12 ga semi with OO!

It's like the response of a polar bear hunting feral upon discovering this polar bear carries!

Sensationalistic click bait headline is misleading. The headline leads one to believe the grizzly was shot with a 44 mag, hence stopping the attack. But the utube vid shows it was the report from the firearm that stopped the attack.

Good thing he had plenty of running water nearby. I imagine his undies were in need of washing.

FTA: He knew he could likely talk his way out of a grizzly attack by calmly reassuring the beasts.
Yeah.... he has a death wish.
He was very lucky.

His mother has a better grasp of reality.
He may have been educated by this event.

As one of the youtube commentators said - at that range, its not a warning shot. He just missed.

With his attitude some lucky person is going to find a nice shiny .44 in a pile of bear shit.

Used to shoot my brother’s S&W .44 Magnum at a local indoor gun range. As I would leave, the owner of the shop & range always said “There’s nothing quite as sweet as the sound of a .44.” It was like a cannon going off in comparison with all the other guns. In the store the range sounded like “pop, pop, BOOM!”.
