Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made his first trip abroad, to Paris, since US President Donald Trump announced last week that the US would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, drawing international condemnation and sparking violent protests across the Middle East and beyond.
Standing side-by-side with French President Emmanuel Macron during a post-meeting press conference on Sunday, Netanyahu attempted to strike a conciliatory tone, calling the French leader an indispensable leader in the quest for peace in the Middle East.
Even as thousands of Israelis protested against Netanyahu in Tel Aviv, the prime minister insisted he was open to peace talks with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. And he stole a line from John Lennon, saying he wanted to give peace a chance.
Macron agreed that the Israelis and Palestinians should push for peace, which is why he opposes the US declaration on Jerusalem. We can only succeed when people talk, Macron said. I fully agree with Prime Minister Netanyahu; lets give peace a chance.
That is why, he said, I disapprove of Trumps declaration; as much as it is against international law. There is no contradiction there. It isnt good for the security of Israel.
Macron urged Netanyahu to freeze Israeli settlement building during their one-on-one talks.

Is that a kosher cheese eating surrender monkey?
Jerusalem won’t forever be international property. That is something that God personally is going to refuse. At the right time. Intermediate steps might be interesting. I don’t think Netanyahu would go for Jerusalem turning into some kind of international zone. But his rivals might.
Psalm 137:5-6English Standard Version (ESV)
5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
let my right hand forget its skill!
6 Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth,
if I do not remember you,
if I do not set Jerusalem
above my highest joy!
No kidding... though many modern Jewish followings have so abstracted the faith from its geographic promises that they’re now digging in against that aspect.
The bible has a way of rebuking this.
The Psalm says it perfectly the way I feel on this subject.
It is now a day of much spiritual movement and aspiration.
Christian and Jewish history is very much intertwined, as much as the two followings may show disdain for each other’s theology. As man proposes, but God disposes.
The French, like all the western euro states, have to placate the hordes of islamic fanatics and murderers they have imported into their midst.
The EU is beyond help, beyond sanity, beyond hope and beyond redemption.
They are not our ally and I question whether most of them ever have been. They’ve always been willing to take money and help from us, but that is not my definition of “ally”.

They were doing this long before the Mahometans arrived in masses on their soil.
And no, they never have been our ally. Their whole impetus is to become a “third power” between the east and the USA.
