Hopefully that would be the end result for the military. But, I just hope they can get the spare parts to keep all the planes, trucks, and war machines rolling.
Probably hasn't changed any from my days, when one of the prime collateral duties of senior enlisted was to beg, borrow or...."procure-by-other-means" the equipment necessary to do the **** job.
I will freely admit that, while I was a brand-new E-5 and got put in charge of our Maintenance Shop, I netted an off-the-cuff comment after Admiral's Inspection to the effect that "that kid is the finest Navy Yard Thief I've seen in thirty damn years".
