(Video Clip at Link) President Donald Trump relived Hillary Clinton's infamous comments slamming his voters last year, telling a crowd of supporters on Friday that "we're proud deplorables."
Trump spoke at a rally in Pensacola, Florida, where he touched on a variety of subjects, including urging Alabamas to vote for Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, who has faced multiple accusations of sexual misconduct.
He also got around to one of his favorite subjects: rehashing his election victory in 2016 over Clinton. Clinton referred at one point on the campaign trail to half of Trump's supporters as being in a "basket of deplorables," calling them racist, sexist, and homophobic.
Clinton later apologized for the remarks.
"We won because of people like you," Trump said to the crowd, saying he took the job on behalf of the "forgotten men and women" of the country. "Guess what? They are forgotten no more."
People didn't think voters like them existed, Trump said.
"And remember the word deplorable? How brilliant was that?" Trump said. "I was watching that speech and she said deplorables,' and I said, Huh. That's not nice.' She's talking about a lot of people
That thing blew up. That was one of the reasons she lost, and now we're all proud deplorables. We're proud deplorables. Very proud."
The Prez is really in his element at these rally’s.
Please proofread titles carefully. I prefer to call the President of the United States “Trump” rather than “rump”. Also, I don’t see a link.
That was one of her dumbest comments. Anyone who had not yet decided whom to vote for, was called deplorable... that lost her hundreds of thousands of possible votes. No way to gain votes!
Wheres da link?
No link just a comment from yesterdays rally on Fox Business.
OMG! What Happened?!?!
LOL
“I prefer to call the President of the United States Trump ....”
Morning “beans & water” not having kicked in, it took several goes before the intended title became apparent. Didn’t note the absence of a link...a “missing link”?
Is there evidence that the term was group tested? I have speculated that instead the “basket of deplorable” was a term used behind closed doors in strategy sessions which slipped out as red meat for a friendly crowd

I remember how quickly Trump supporters jumped on that term and connected it with the flag-waving rebels in Les Miserables. Whoever started to pass around that poster from the stage play and that stirring scene from the Russell Crowe film with the song Can You Hear the People Sing, that was brilliant.
Big oops on this title. I tried to report the title mistake to the administrator immediately thru the Report Abuse button but to no avail. I hardly get “avail” when I make an appeal like that. Maybe it’s fun to have EliRoom8 looking stupid for all the world to see. But I reported the mistake several hours ago and nothing happened.

The link was:
Yeah baby!
It was nearly instantaneous, even for the Internet. Everyone from Paleocons to moderate Republicans were adopting the term within a week.
