There is currently about a 98% chance that these types of incidents are racial trolling. I'm having a hard time remembering one that was actually real (I know, the bacon/mosque thing would be one).
Well it was a heinous waste of bacon.
He's only an E-3, according to how I, an AN (Airman) a long time ago, read the report. He may have enlisted late in his middle twenties. Not a "fast burner."
The same $hit happened on my campus at Kansas State. Our university president, Richard Myers, the former Chief of Staff has swallowed this Bologna hook, line and sinker.
That is what my once-great Air Force has come to. I know several Flag Officers and the only one that I trust and respect just recently announced his retirement.
Closing out an era, my ex-BIL was in the last AF Academy class to be male-only. He said they almost got away with having inscribed on their rings “LCWB.”
They won't force you to take the petty officer exams! In the old Navy, gold badges didn't start until E-5, if I remember correctly. I wouldn't know, I jumped from E-4 to O-1 as a direct commission.
Anyhow, hes finished. Theres no room for this kind of nonsense. One of the quickest ways to torpedo a Navy career is to be a racist. Falsely claiming this kind of crap destroys camaraderie and hell be dealt with seriously.
I sure wish they could have gotten away with it. Those rings would have been priceless.
Last class without broads?/sarc
Close. Last Class With Balls.
34? Wow. What prompted you to enlist at such an ‘advanced’ age?
Oh, what part of Africa is he from?
I often say a lot of bad decisions led me to make a really good one. Today I'm an E6 with 14 years under my belt, hopefully Chief will come soon. I have a family and a career that I love.
And I've never failed a PRT!
It was unusual when I enlisted in 2003. I was the "old guy" in a room full of teenagers, though still unmarried and no kids at the time. These days it's not that unusual at all to see older enlistees in their late 20s and well into their early 30s. During the tattered Obamaconomy, you'd see a lot of older guys with families enlist. The pay and security were good, the benefits great, and Tricare for your family is a helluva lot better than Obamacare. A lot more college grads enlisting these days as well. The military is a pretty good gig.
Double the penalty for the faker that the perps would’ve received if this was real.
NCIS cracked the case. HOAX!
Sailor staged racist vandalism, Navy says

This week marks the 76th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, a time to remember the heroes of that fateful day.
One was Dorie Miller, a 24-year-old mess attendant. Miller grew up in Jim Crow Texas. With few prospects at home, he enlisted in the Navy in 1939, knowing that African-Americans were limited to mess steward and cook, in terms of career opportunities. He was eventually assigned to the USS West Virginia. When the Japanese attacked on 7 December 1941, Miller manned an anti-aircraft machinegun and helped defend his ship against enemy attack, despite having no previous experience as a gunner’s mate.
For his actions, Miller became the first black sailor to receive the Navy Cross. He was killed in action less than two years later, when the carrier Liscome Bay (his new ship) was struck by a Japanese torpedo that ignited one of the vessel’s magazines, causing it to sink in only 23 minutes.
The moron on the USS George HW Bush did a grave disservice to all Americans who have served in the Navy. And it’s a fair bet he’s never heard of Dorie Miller.
Another fake “victim” exposed! These stupid people keep getting caught.
Sure
At one time, you could stay in for 20 years as an E-5. One of my early mentors in the Air Force (wing’s senior enlisted adviser) told me the story of one of those “fast burners” who volunteered to establish a squadron snack bar. The lifer E-5 wasn’t exactly the sharpest crew chief, so the squadron figured morale might improve—along with mission capable rates—if the SSgt became the unit “snacko.”
Whatever his failings as a maintainer, the E-5 was a whiz in the snack bar business. He quickly expanded from candy bars and soda, adding sandwiches, fries and other hot food at the little eatery in the corner of a hangar. Eventually, the operation included a small buffet and even hot soup.
Since profits were supposed to benefit the squadron fund, the unit commander was happy. So was the Deputy Commander for Maintenance and of course, the E-5, who planned to go into the restaurant business when he retired from the Air Force.
In fact, the only person upset by these events was the services squadron commander. His dining hall traffic plummeted, with most of the maintenance troops (and even a few pilots and WSOs) eating there. His complaints eventually forced an audit, which revealed a major discrepancy between the “sales” generated by the snack bar, and what was distributed to the squadron fund. The gap, as I recall, was somewhere around $100,000.
That triggered a full-scale investigation by the Air Force Audit Agency and the AFOSI. The wing commander was personally directed by the 9th AF/CC to “shut down the g—d—n snack bar.” It was presumed that the sluggard E-5 took the money, but the auditors could never prove that, so the SSgt was allowed the retire. A few months later, he bought a restaurant and made a down payment on a house. Along with his family, he operated the restaurant for more than 30 years, earning even more money from Air Force members.
