Gads, what a puss!
No wonder she had to ride in the backseat for hours with Amelia Earhart. before the aviatrix finally gave in.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)
To: Kaslin
So what, both were hardcore socialists.

I really tire of faux conservatives writing words of praise directed at hardcore socialists like FDR and his wife.

The point is that Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 1941 and she was First Lady and as such she addressed the Nation

FDR liked Hitlers form of socialism and borrowed from his ideas.
I do not respect socialists of any stripe.

All the aircraft carriers were sent out to sea east of the island, out of harms way.
FDR knew.

My father remembered that when he was fighting on Okinawa in May 1945, one of the taunts they would hear from the Japanese soldiers was "To hell with Mrs. Roosevelt!"
I suppose the Japanese thought that the Marines would be offended. She was no longer First Lady at that point. Maybe the Japanese soldiers didn't know that.
To: stockpirate
Of course anyone who was anyone knew. The US had broken the codes and delayed the Japanese ambassadors meeting to discuss a declaration of war between Japan and the US until after the attack. There is hardly a time this country has gone to war that the reasons were manufactured or misrepresented. Remember the Maine, The Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, 9/11, Egypt, Libya and Serbia. Of course don’t forget Vietnam.

Well, I was eight years old on 12/7/41 and was used to one set of Grandparents referring to her as a communist supporter and the other set of Grandparents referring to her as Stalin's lapdog.
Then, later, when that POS Franklin imposed the "temporary" income tax payroll deduction, things got really got ugly.

What mean, "gave in?" I think he meant putting the "bi" in biplane.

Yeah, she sorta looks like ... kinda... actually ... looks like Jimmy Carter wearing a kid’s version of the Napoleon Bonaparte hat...
FDR = Not one of my all-time favorites.

LOL, I think you pull down the hat and tie it off at the neck, probably so FDR could safely go to sleep.
