Mr. Araud deleted the tweet within a few minutes, though not before it had been screen-captured.

On second thought, up yours, France.
What a piece of flaming crap.
We had a lot of isolationists.
The French could have crushed the German up until 1935 or 36.
The French will never forgive us for liberating them from the Nazis.
Saved your sorry a$$e$ two times in 20 years you blithering cheese-eating surrender monkey.
>>we should remember that the US refused to side with France and the UK to confront the fascist powers in the 30s.
Why? To make the world safe for Communism 80 years earlier than Obama did?
Next time we provide the Krauts with maps of the best invasion routes. ESAD, Frogs.
The French could have crushed the German up until 1935 or 36.
WHERE did US troops first fight near Europe? Northern Africa.
Against GERMANS, right..? No, against Vichy FRENCH troops.
And when Hitler went into Poland leaving a wide exposed flank, what did the French do?
Who calls Europe friend and ally? Last Pearl Harbor day one British rag ran a story about “racist” America and how the British were the only ones who treated our black G.I.s as human beings.
Where would we be without our European allies?
I would ask HOW hitler was able to build such a war machine right under their noses but I’ve watched NK build a nuke missile that can reach my home.
And they’ve been doing it under our noses for 25 years.
The treaties the Frogs and Pommies had us signed decimated our military in particular our Navy.
The Versailles Treaty guaranteed Germany would be looking for revenge.
Lastly asks the Czechs how they fault about how the French stood in the gap for them.
Freaking Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys.
Saved their currency, saved their renowned wine industry
Maybe defaulting on your war debt with America when Hitler came to power was a bad idea...
>>We had a lot of isolationists.
Being isolationist makes sense when you:
a) Live in a nation that spans a continent and has just about anything you need and is protected by oceans.
b) Are nation of people who left European squabbles behind on purpose!
c) Recognize that there were no good guys in Europe (it was Nationalist Socialists vs Internationalist Socialists vs Monarchists).
Pointe de Hoc, U.S. Military Cemetary, FRANCE.
He’s still sore either because we entered the war by attacking Vichy France first or that we wouldn’t let DeGaul lead Overlord.
Somebody seriously needs to poll Alsace-Lorraine and ask them if they’re really happy being French.
