We need to move the Capital to Lebanon KS, build dormitories for the scum to live in ninety days during the Spring and again in the Fall and they can eat in cafeterias.

The rest of the time they can spend with us schlubs that elected them.

This idea is more civilized than blowing the place up.

Good idea.

This will make the government employee bureaucrats wet themselves.

That giant sucking sound is the whoosh created by the collapse of the Maryland and Northern Virginia property markets.

"move the Capital to Lebanon KS"

Whereever it is, there needs to be a 50 mile no-go zone for realestate development surrounding the site in order to keep out the lobbyists and other hangers-on.

Spread the GD beast all over the backwaters of the nation. Nobody would work for it. The lobbyists couldn’t do their evil deeds. People with tar, feathers, pitchforks, torches and rails would have much easier access to their tormenters. It’s a win, win, win, win all the way around.

“We need to find out what we can move,” said Rep. Tim Ryan, a Democrat from Youngstown, Ohio.

Ryan is asking the wrong question. It should be “What little, itty bitty part of the government really, truly needs to stay in Washington DC?”

Oh No, can’t have that.

Anyone who’s been to DC understands the reality of the place: gilded offices, opulent streets and buildings, leafy suburbs filled with expensive neo colonial houses and late model cars.

The bureautrash will only leave when they are dragged out by wild horses.

Walking around the place just astounded me. All I could think of was, “so this is where all the money goes to”.

Spending billions of dollars to set up other locations and to move the bureaucrats out there will accomplish what exactly? Same functions. Same procedures. Same bureaucracies. Same results. Just money down a rat hole.

“Why not Minot?” A phrase made famous by Air Force recruiters for a long time now.

Minot, North Dakota is in the middle of vast empty prairie and on 30° below zero winter nights outside of town you feel like you could touch the stars.

Another plus is that North Dakotans are a practical phlegmatic people and they’re very, very good at cards. At least some of the money we waste on government salaries would end up in their hands.

Move one cabinet agency to a different Trump state—one to Kansas, one to Nebraska, one to Iowa, one to Texas, etc.

Spread the wealth, and let the lobbyists bankrupt themselves with a dozen offices around the heartland.

Yes! We need to change the employee make up of the fed government so that it is more red. And we need to change the jury pool if there are legal proceedings. If Mueller had to draw his jury from anywhere but DC, he wouldn’t bother with his phony allegations.

Another idea: term contracts.

The Dallas office of the FDIC did most of the work in handling the bank crisis. There were 3 other satellite offices for a couple of years in Illinois, Southern Cal, and Jacksonville, FL.

I'd say about 90% were term workers: two years guaranteed, with the govt. option of an additional two years. Management knew they couldn't screw with us, because there was a ton of work, and we'd be gone in a few years.

My coworkers and I did our jobs well, and we were paid well to do it.

Fargo ND is nice this time of year.

Agencies that are the least essential get the most miserable locales. With school surplus furniture.
