I lived in Farmington and would head up to Durango every weekend. Had tears in my eyes each time I returned to Farmington. (Half way kidding)

First time I EVER saw a gun at school was back in 1956 McCormick school in Farmington. Some kid brought an old military muzzle loading pistol, from the early 1800s, to school for “Show and Tell”. No one went into a panic or lockdown.
We all thought it was Kool! But then, those were more innocent times, even though Farmington still had a high crime rate back then.
