The probe, likely to be rigorous, would be carried out behind closed doors by the Senate Ethics Committee's professional, nonpartisan staff. It could take months, and might come up empty or conclude with an "admonishment" — essentially a slap on the wrist. The committee could also recommend that the full Senate vote on a motion to "censure" Moore or expel him from Congress.
“If he were to be elected, he would immediately have an issue with the Ethics Committee that they would take up,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters Tuesday during a Capitol Hill news conference.

Of the first four “accusers” three of them (including one who is in the Doug Jones campaign) said Roy Moore asked the girls if they wished to go out and when they said yes he asked their parents for permission to court their daughters. The parents happily said yes and the moms loved Moore and thought he was great husband material with a bright future. They let their daughters stay out late with Moore because they trusted their daughters would be safe with the West Point grad and vet of two tours of duty in Vietnam and because they knew he was Officer and Gentleman in the Southern tradition who could be counted on to act honorably with their daughter. He verified their trust and did nothing to force himself on then and maybe stole a kiss or too.
The ones here with a legal and ethical problem are the women and they should be deathly afraid of Disney Studios sueing them for plagiarizing plot lines out of animated romances like Cinderella, Beauty And The Beast or Snow White.
The other three are such obvious liars it's not worth wasting time on them.
I'm looking forward to learning what Mitch was up to in his younger years. Could be interesting.

He should demand a list of names and amounts paid out of taxpayer funds for all congressmen and women to settle sexual harassment accusations and lawsuits. This should be his response every time. Forty year unprovable accusations verses current payouts using public money-
Yep whenever this point was brought up McConnell and Ryan.... They freeze up like a deer in head lights or have the look of the little boy caught with his hand in the cookie jar and quietly go away.
Congress will never reveal this and Roy Moore and his supporters should bring this up every time they mention it.
They know they are hypocrites and guilty of what they project on to Roy Moore.

There was evidence against Frankin, none against Moore.
Interesting how the ‘Rats have become the party of prudes and are so concerned about sexual abuse. Up until a month or so ago, sexual harassment and abuse was a resume enhancer for that party.

Incorrect. Unless each one of the members of Congress that paid off an sexual harassment suit with taxpayer is gone, Moore has cover.
Never mind, those accusing Moore of sexual assault have no credibility.
The vultures are circling and the Dem and RINO majority will kick him out of office for a third time.
