Honestly. Disband the agency. Create a new Domestic Intelligence Agency or Office of Domestic Investigations or some such. Hire a trusted confidant to head it and hire everybody from scratch, scrutinizing each hire for objectivity and absence of political activity.
It is the only way to fix the FBI. Blow it up and start over from scratch.

There needs to be a term limit an the new agency. May be every 10 years the agency needs to prove its honesty and integrity along with its effectiveness.

Maybe we should privatize this agency. Let professional businesses bid to run it for x number of years and see if it’s run better than with entrenched career aholes.
