WASHINGTON (AP) Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is strongly disputing a claim by outdoor retailer Patagonia that President Donald Trump stole public land by shrinking two national monuments in Utah.
Zinke calls the claim made in large type on the companys home page nefarious, false and a lie.
Zinke says in a conference call Tuesday that its shameful and appalling that Patagonia and other retailers would blatantly lie in order to get money in their coffers.

Actually, Obama stole it and Trump returned it to its rightful owners.
Soon-to-be Patagone...
I thought Patagonia was in South America.
The mediots couch it as if there will now be strip malls, refineries, lumber mills and nuclear power plants in the lands. They willfully fail to report that the lands simply revert to the states, their rightful owners.

Sounds great!
REI tweeted out similar claptrap. I called them on it and got likes and responses from many of their twitter followers, and presumably customers. These guys fail to realize that many of their customers are conservative conservationists not lefty environmentalists. There’s a critical difference.
The Leave No Trace organization is the same. I follow Tread Lightly principles instead. They are far more sane users of the outdoors.
I once had a Leave No Trace instructor yell at me for dropping a paper plate in a campfire. He was left speechless when I asked him what paper was made from. These same lunatics ramble on about how campfire pits from Valley Forge are still visible on Satellite images because the ground was so damaged. They neglect to mention that the fire pits were 20-30 ft. in diameter and burned solid and hot 24/7 for about a year. They imply that these were 3 ft fire rings.
They should design a Workingmans line for ranchers, lumberman and miners.
Liberals believe that all land should be ‘public’ (i.e. government) land, just like all property should belong to the state. Sound familiar?
Don't know exactly what you're referring to but the company's headquarters in Ventura, CA could well be gone soon. It's located very near the big fire that's raging in NW Ventura. Stay tuned...
Karma's a Hillary.
Thanks. I had no idea.
Apparently, it’s OK for Patagonia to make a profit from public lands, but no one else can. KSL, our local Channel 5, had an ass clown on their program, who owns several businesses in the monnument’s areas. He claims the monument status has had a positive impact for him. Of course it has, he has the federal government preventing anyone from competing with him. The Eco-Fascist Libtards are such greedy hypocrites.
outdoor retailer Patagonia. Thanks ColdOne.
Try Duluth Trading Co.
Yvon Chouinard, founded Patagonia.
Gives money to environmental causes yet did a clear cut on his Montana property and caused massive environmental damage.
A$$hole.
I know. I live in the middle of forest service land.
