Sixteen of the nations top retired military commanders are urging Congress to pass gun control legislation, arguing that there are many steps that can be taken to curb gun deaths that do not violate the Second Amendment.
In a letter they plan to send to Congressional leaders, the retired commanders, including Army Gens. Wesley Clark and Michael Hayden, Navy Admiral Eric Olson, Air Force Lt. Gen. Norman Seip and Marine Brig. Gen. Stephen Cheney, argue that Congress is no longer speaking or voting for the majority of Americans, including gun owners when it comes to the issue of firearms.
There is no acceptable excuse for our elected leaders to avoid addressing this as a national crisis, they write.
The group is part of the veterans coalition of a gun control group founded by former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly. They laid out their arguments in a letter they plan to send to Congressional leaders.

This is all you need to know.......
There is a great disturbance in the Force, the fragrance of perfume is great.
A military desiring for a population to disarm.
That should be a huge red flag people
“Wesley Clark”
All I needed to hear.
All are Democrat hacks
Is there anywhere online a list of these sixteen treasonous bastards??
True. The majority of Americans, including gun owners, believe in the Constitution; unlike Congress and these "retired commanders".
Tying the swift boat tactics now...
Retired generals, NOT the military in general. Make no assumptions that the majority or even a near majority of the troops to include senior NCOs and officers would follow these assholes in any type of coup or moves against the American populace.
Look at who these so called military men .....nuff said
These sixteen a**holes should be paraded in front of a firing squad.
Just because someone is or was in the military does not mean they are one of the good guys.
Stanley McChrystal appeared once on a segment of CBS Sunday Morning. They were doing a story about him. In the segment, McChrystal called for a ban on semi-automatic rifles, the maggot.
Or Clinton.
No, violating the Second Amendment is exactly what they want to do. I believe they are being, shall we say, a little less than truthful. 👎
Wesley Clark was even earlier than that. But, then again, John Kerry - and ALL of the current democrat “leaders” got their first marching orders back in the Vietnam War “glory days” of Pelosi’s summer of 67-68-69!
The majority of "gun deaths" are suicide, and most of the others are gang-bangers killing each other and self-defense.
More guns, less violent crime.
Swamp creatures dont care about a silly oath.
