Syrian state media on Monday said Israel had fired missiles at a Syrian military facility in the Damascus countryside, adding that Syrian air defense systems had intercepted three of the missiles.
“Our air defenses are confronting an Israeli missile attack on one of our sites in the Damascus suburbs and three of the targets were downed,” state news agency SANA said, adding the attacks happened at 11:30 p.m. Monday.
A witness told Reuters late on Monday three strong explosions were heard from the direction of Jamraya, west of Damascus. Another witness said thick smoke could be seen rising over the area.
Jamraya contains a military research facility which was hit by what was believed to have been an Israeli attack in 2013.

Yes, and this is really what this is about. Anyone keeping up with the news has read that Israel says an Iranian base in Syria is unacceptable... and that probably includes weaponry as well.
Israel has struck Syria fairly routinely and without a response and furthermore, of course, Syria gets a lot of Russian support in addition.
So, the Russians have made condemnations but they haven't acted on this either.
You mean like the U.S. attacking Iraq?
And anyway, Iran and Syria have supplied Hezbollah with weapons they've used against Israel for decades, so your contention is full of shiite. And speaking of shiite, your brain has been turned into it by your anti-Israel bias.

Six were fired ... see Debka for more details - they are quoting unnamed foreign media. Same site attacked in 2013, according to Hizballah’s Al Mayadeen. Last week’s strike killed Iranian and Hezbollah officers.
