Much has been made of why Special Counsel Robert Mueller prosecuted former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who lied to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. But what about the lie itself, which President Trump has noted on Twitter was a pretty useless lie?
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!

The conventional wisdom, as UCLA law professor Harry Litman lays out, is that Flynn "knew" that talking with the Russians, or rather, "negotiating" with them, as he extends the term, was "wrong and inimical to U.S. interests." I notice he doesn't use the word "illegal," and from a law professor, that's significant. Just "wrong."
As Jack Posobiec has found, it was actually all right.
I think Flynn lied because he was afraid. And he was afraid because he's a Washington swamp creature, even if a Trump-friendly one.
In the Washington swamp culture, nothing is worse than talking to a Russian.
Russia is our worst enemy, supposedly, and great amounts of spydom and security clearances hinge on keeping Russia as big an enemy as possible. More enemy, more government funds for the bureaucracies that hunt Russian spies. And more specifically, talk to a Russian, lose your security clearance.

I know that he lied to the vice president and was fired for it.
Please. You don’t know that. You know that is what POTUS told you.
1. This is war
2. War requires you to use deception to win. Some on our side can’t quit grasp that.
3. Trump has never tweeted about why he fired anyone before, only talked about what good people they were.
4. I don’t know of any ceo who would publicy state why they fired someone. EVER.
5. Trump deliberately puts little mistakes in his tweets. For example, Hillary “acid washed” her emails. This ensures the MSM will talk about his tweets
6. Flynn did nothing illegal in regards to working with Trump
7. Flynn had enough expertise to know his phone calls were recorded, and thus prove he lied.
8. Trump tweeted about Flynn’s lies making sure the public knew.
9. FBI calls him out on his lies about legal phone calls.
10. FLynn gets a slap on the wrist for the lie.
11. Flynn get immunity
12. Flynn must testify to ALL known crimes
13. Flynn worked for Obama for 277 days and Trump for 24.
Just connect the dots.
Of course that is ridiculous. Did you know that Trump can issue blanket Clemency for all events occurring before the date of clemency and before any indictment what so ever. Nixon received clemency and not a pardon because he was never indicted. Tell me what he did anyway. Ill bet 90% of this country has no clue. We have such ignorance in this country because our media doesn’t do its job and leads uneducated to believe lies.
He destroyed evidence, obstructed justice, and he threatened to misuse the IRS against his enemies.
totally wrong. What evidence did Richard Nixon admit destroying? (you do know he was never indicted or impeached?)
You arent talking about the 18 minute gap in the 7000 hours of tape that his secretary, Rose Mary Woods, said she may have recorded over something by accident. obstruction of justice!! Do you not know that the President cannot obstruct justice as a matter of constitutional law? Threatened?? IRS misuse? Are you serious? Give me the where and when that is EVEN A CRIME. That damned 0bama actually used the IRS against Tea Party. Nixon did absolutely none of that. People have been brain washed like small children.
Flynn lied to help protect the greatest, most patriotic thing Trump is working on. That is, moving America away from the socialist, atheistic, and increasingly Islamified Western Europe and forging a new alliance with Christian Russia.
Why does hillary lie overtime she opens her mouth?
The problem is that if you're not telling the truth -- even if you did nothing wrong -- you'll get in trouble for it.
That’s some interesting speculation. If you have any evidence to support it, I’d love to see it.
If you’re human you are a liar. Human nature.
