Sessions seems to be in favor of asset seizure. And I find that to be incomprehensible. How could anyone (except a Stalinist) be in favor of the government seizing property without some sort of court order?
The Supreme Court should have struck all this down years ago.
I’m not a fan of Sessions’ stance on Civil Liberties, or Trump’s for that matter.
Sessions is good on immigration. Other than that, he’s like every other Congress critter. It’s only that one issue that sets him apart. Congress is so bad on immigration that there are only about a dozen, maybe two dozen GOP House members who have reasonable positions on immigration.
Congress could put a stop to Civil Forfeiture at any time.
CF is one of those things that people in the future after it’s gone will have a hard time understanding how it was ever allowed to begin with. Like Slavery or Prohibition.
