He said it. Grab em by the pussy.
Of course he said it. And we laughed along, without a single doubt that this was hypothetical hot air from Americas highest-rated bloviator. Along with Donald Trump and me, there were seven other guys present on the bus at the time, and every single one of us assumed we were listening to a crass standup act. He was performing. Surely, we thought, none of this was real.
We now know better.
Recently I sat down and read an article dating from October of 2016; it was published days after my departure from NBC, a time when I wasnt processing anything productively. In it, the author reviewed the various firsthand accounts about Mr. Trump that, at that point, had come from 20 women.
Some of what Natasha Stoynoff, Rachel Crooks, Jessica Leeds and Jill Harth alleged involved forceful kissing. Ms. Harth said he pushed her up against a wall, with his hands all over her, trying to kiss her.
He was relentless, she said. I didnt know how to handle it. Her story makes the whole better use some Tic Tacs and just start kissing them routine real. I believe her.
Kristin Anderson said that Mr. Trump reached under her skirt and touched her vagina through her underwear while they were at a New York nightclub in the 1990s. That makes the grab em by the pussy routine real. I believe her.
The key to succeeding in my line of work was establishing a strong rapport with celebrities. I did that, and was rewarded for it. My segments with Donald Trump when I was just a correspondent were part of the reason I got promoted.
NBC tripled my salary and paid for my moving van from New York to Los Angeles.

“He very likely was engaged in many groping incidents and that was bad behavior.”
I disagree. Trump is too charming and rich to need to force himself on women. It ain’t bad behavior in the sense you mean if both parties are on board.
Billy Bush also cites that his salary tripled from NBC.
Wonder if he’s seeking Matt Lauerrreeraurr’s old chair (and hidden button office).
When George Takai talked of forcefully grabbing a castmember of Star Trek aggressively by the balls to make a pass at him (without consent), George said that he was goaded into it by Howard Stern’s talk.
The media let that slip last month.
Can’t have homofascists get run out of town in the same “smash the males” witchhunt.
That may be, but at least his father didn’t help assassinate one President and try to assassinate another.
I watched an interview of Jim Gaffigan last night where he said this very thing. He tried a few political jokes last year (when you could not help but tell political jokes) and audience members looked up at the ceiling.
He knew then that people were sick of the politicization of everything.
It is man’s nature to lust after women. That is how our species is propagated. Rich and famous and powerful. He probably played some grab @ss. It was probably fairly minor but also probably unwanted. At the time it was not a problem but politics has made it a problem. I am not judging him but I am also not hiding my head in the sand. What really matters to me is how he acts as an elected official.
Until he rapes a nursing home operator in an Arkansas hotel, assaults a woman in the Oval Office, and has his wife attack the victims, he is my President and I support him.
What does “very likely” mean and why did you say that?
Human nature. Wealth and power. Entertainment business. Men are men.
Ill tell you the funniest is that Ill go backstage before a show and everyones getting dressed, Trump told Stern in the recordings. No men are anywhere, and Im allowed to go in, because Im the owner of the pageant and therefore Im inspecting it . Is everyone OK? You know, theyre standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.
As we all do, I accept the fact that he has done some things he probably regrets. Rich and powerful men have gotten away with a lot throughout human history. That being said, I don’t believe he has done something serious enough for people to say he is unfit to be the President. I fully support him but I do it with my eyes open.
