It seems paradoxical: The Ravens, who have sold out every home game since they arrived in Baltimore in 1996, are advertising tickets for Sundays contest at M&T Bank Stadium.
But this is where the Ravens find themselves in 2017: Contemplating the prospect of empty seats, and appealing to fans to Win Together. Purchase your tickets today! even as the team is contending for what would be its first playoff berth since 2014.
Thousands of fans are trying to resell their tickets to the sold-out game Sunday against the Detroit Lions at 71,000-seat M&T Bank Stadium via Ticketmaster, the teams official resale outlet, or StubHub. Seats were available this week in almost every section; an $80 ticket for an upper end zone seat could be had for as little as $29.
Every week, some ticket holders must miss the game. But the NFL is laboring across the board this season to maintain its fan base and minimize no-shows. Its not just the Ravens. Television ratings are down league-wide and empty seats can be seen at many games.
The league faces troubles on multiple fronts this year from politics to health and the game itself. Theres fan anger, stoked by President Donald Trump, over the decision of some players to kneel during the national anthem to protest racial inequity and police brutality; injuries to star players such as Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers; fresh concerns about the long-term effects of hits and concussions on players brains; and inconsistent play.

Wait for the results next year, after fans cancel their seasons tickets for 2018. Blood in the streets.
Goodell is too stupid to realize that once you pay the extortion money it guarantees you nothing but ultimatums. Black militants and their sympathizers now run the NFL, and every concession will be met with more demands. It’s like trying to appease Muslims. It’s impossible. But let’s pretend that the players will be satisfied and will stand tall during the anthem. It’ll still be the same anti-American miscreants and thugs, showboating like King Kong, holding asinine skits in the end-zone, and an endless display of in-your-face tribal antics that remind you why you turned it off in the first place. The NFL fans and the NFL were like a marriage. Once the betrayal has occurred, the relationship will never be the same.
If you haven’t already filed for divorce, what’s the holdup, pilgrims?
uh....no.
The nfl has handled this kneeling thing about as poorly as I've seen any business handle a bad PR incident.
They have done about everything the opposite way it should have been conducted.
And to really show how dumb they are....the nfl has caved to the demands of the inmates and is transferring ~$100,000,000 to SJW related activities.
Leftist thug journalists always blame Trump.
LA Watts riots were the same
Burn Baby...BURN!
Stupid is as stupid does.
If the protests end because the league has agreed to the Racial Payola (and this is far from certain) are the fans supposed to forget that the league is populated by players who have zero respect for the Flag and the country? Are we supposed to ignore that a big chunk of every ticket is going to go to promote SJW lies like hands up, dont shoot?
“It seems paradoxical: The Ravens, who have sold out every home game since they arrived in Baltimore in 1996, are advertising tickets for Sundays contest at M&T Bank Stadium.”
It’s a total mystery, I tell you!
The NFL $100 million dollar payoff to SJW’s didn’t help with the fans either.

The divorce has alrady been finalized. I’m a “little” chagrined to admit that until I came across this particular post, I had NOT thought for a single second about any football this weekend.
I don’t even know if my “former” team is even playing today. BUT, who cares?
See, here's the complete and total disconnect from the Left. They want you to believe that what the players are doing is a noble cause and that stupid fans with their stupid rah-rah patriotism are abandoning the league in a snit. Damnit, why can't fans just stop complaining and show some solidarity?
These players are millionaires. Have they donated their time and money in the neighborhoods they grew up on violence prevention programs? Have they became a mentor to some of these kids in the inner-city? Have they held talks with city council people or the Mayors and police chiefs and got together to find ways to stop violence or police shootings?
They did, once upon a time. Back in the 70s and 80s, professional athletes were a mainstay in their communities and gave back. Black children had role models they could look up to, like Michael Jordan.
The dirty little secret is, that these players got theirs. They're fed. They're paid. They got women, Patrone, and exclusive parties in NYC or L.A. They live in Henderson NV or in a tony suburb away from the neighborhoods they grew up in. But they still have to maintain their rep and pretend they're still down with the struggle, so they don't get accused of selling out. They have to "keep it real."
That is why these players, on orders from white leftists, have to virtue signal and destroy a billion-dollar enterprise.
The draw that broke the camels back was the admission that the money that the black players extorted out of owners for felon wealth redistribution would come out of and eliminate existing NFL funding for War Veterans and Breast Cancer victims.
They really have no idea, but they did manage to squeeze in “Trump’s Fault!”
As a Clevelander, I cant help but feel a sense of Schadenfreude.
The money is being taken out of existing NFL programs for Military Vets and Breast Cancer programs.
Take money from the veterans and give it to the SJWs who were protesting the veterans in the first place.
Actually, I think it's a way to pay the lawsuits.
Notice the last group that is receiving money...The Players Coalition. IIRC they get 50% of the $$.
None of these groups have anything to do with what the players are kneeling for.
Al and Jesse would be proud of the shakedown.
I don't know the specific details but it sure looks like it is a payoff of some sort.
The reported agreement between that Players Coalition and the league has the NFL set up to donate at least $89 million over a seven-year period for both national and local projects. Some of the national funding would go to the United Negro College Fund, Dream Corps, and the Players Coalition.
