Agreed. I am glad that I paid into though I NEVER thought I would need it.
I dont know what the advantage is to being on it if you’re healthy.
The SSDI was nowhere NEAR what my salary was.
Yes, and some people deserve and need SSI. I fully support your need. I have a disabled son, and We fought on his behalf for more than a year. He has severe physical and mental issues. I guarantee, that for white US citizens, SSI is very difficult to obtain and what my 29 YO son received barely buys his basic necessities, such as food, water, and medical supplies. It pays nothing for shelter, utilities, and transportation— I still pay for all of that.
