I'm well aware she serves in the House. Are you saying that she, being a House member, was unaware of the fund because the fund was a Senate-only fund?
Well, that's just not the case. So, why is she just finding out about this fund only now, when other House members knew about it -- and availed themselves of it to the tune of $17 million(!)?
Dang, say the name
If it’s going to take a piece of legislation to get it done, I seriously doubt it will see the light of day. (Although who votes against it may be interesting). No. Better that the list get leaked. I’m not a big fan of leaking, unless it exposes things that have been detrimental to us citizens or our government, but it’s a whole lot quicker and cheaper, and after all, we have a right to know how our taxpayer dollars are spent, and not just numbers on a spreadsheet with a generic heading.
Have other House members brought it up? If so name them or otherwise sthu
When you think taxpayer funded hush money to the tune of 17 million, that is 17 million dollars worth of tax dollars earned by tax paying citizens.
At 20 dollars an hour that 850,000 hours hard-working taxpayers were required to provide tax monies for in order to pay this bill.
I think it is important to start thinking of tax dollars in hours worked by taxpayers.
Have other House members brought it up? If so name them or otherwise sthu
That's the point. The fund's been there since 1997 -- twenty years! And they all knew about it (else how did they spend $17 million from it?)
While I'm glad she's bringing it up know, the point still stands. Why did she not do so earlier? And I'm not singling her out -- why didn't *any* Senator or Rep expose this fraud earlier?
Any congresscritter who did not expose this fraud immediately upon learning about it is corrupt.
Well now, if we are going to bring Stephen Furst into the discussion, this is even more appropriate:

Names and how much taxpayer money they spent covering up their abuse of women.
AND when they’re going to start paying taxpayers back...
