Minnesota Public Radio Drops Garrison Keillor Over Allegations of Improper Conduct
New York Slimes ^ | NOV. 29, 2017 | MAYA SALAM

“I put my hand on a woman’s bare back,” he wrote. “I meant to pat her back after she told me about her unhappiness and her shirt was open and my hand went up it about six inches. She recoiled. I apologized. I sent her an email of apology later and she replied that she had forgiven me and not to think about it.”

Mr. Keillor claimed that they continued to be friends “right up until her lawyer called.”

Two things about all this that jump out at me:

1) They’re all big-ish fish that almost certainly have pensions or savings to fall back on for a good, long while.

2) (Rush pointed this one out) All of them have the stature to go into “rehab,” “recover,” and go back to work for somebody in their field after a year or so. Brian Williams and Dan Rather are his go-to examples here. I wouldn’t be surprised if Anthony Wiener doesn’t try to get back into “public service” once his time in Club-Fed is up. He doesn’t know how to do anything else except run for office.

The “coot” looks like he got a tad fresh.

But that doesn’t appear to be the worst problem. The worst problem is the petard that the libbies built. They left no choice but to be hoist on it. If they hadn’t been trying so hard to push this kind of filth on their political rivals, then Keillor might have come out okay.

... because Keillor committed a worse sin than getting fresh.

HE PATRONIZED HER.

Omg. Throw him in the oubliette for that one.

At least Weinstein broke the mold, by saying - when his scandal was just barely breaking - that he had suddenly found a new mission in life that he would be zealously pursuing with every fiber of his being : Producing a new movie of incredible power & shock & awe that would take down and destroy President Trump.

So you have to give him a point and a half for creativity for trying a gambit that nobody else tried.

Of course, that angle lasted less than a day, as the scandal quickly went supernova, and he then immediately moved to the same old gambit that numerous others have tried lately, namely: "I'm going into a Sexual Rehab Clinic, from which I will emerge a new man! Sensitive and caring and thoughtful and ...."

Last I heard, he left his new therapy home (somewhere in Arizona?) after just 24 hours. I guess therapy works superduper fast for some people, eh?

Deep opposition research, and nudging past victims to speak out, is showing results. If I had been kicked so much and so hard by lefty perps, I’d do the same. Greatest reality show ever!

Who’s next? I’ll guess Mikey Moore and Rob Reiner.

I’m glad the current mania/fad, inspired by “me too”, is bringing down big icons of the left. Too long the left has practiced the double standard by trashing normal people, while leaving democrats alone.

What’s npr gonna do now?
