The fast-moving national reckoning over sexual harassment in the workplace toppled another television news star on Wednesday when NBC fired Matt Lauer, the co-host of its most profitable franchise, Today, after an allegation of inappropriate sexual behavior with a subordinate.
NBC News told its staff that it was firing Mr. Lauer some 34 hours after the woman and her lawyer visited the network headquarters in Midtown Manhattan to share details of her interactions with Mr. Lauer with company executives.
On Wednesday, NBC received at least two more complaints related to Mr. Lauer, according to a person briefed on the networks handling of the matter. One complaint came from a former employee who said Mr. Lauer had summoned her to his office in 2001 and then had sex with her. She provided her account to The New York Times but declined to let her name be used.
She told the Times that she felt helpless because she didnt want to lose her job, and that she didnt report the encounter at the time because she felt ashamed.
She said NBCs human resources department had contacted her Wednesday to ask her about her allegations.

Sad!
Seriously? Wow. I guess I missed that. I also thought Chucky was a little creepy.
Will we ever get tired of winning or complacent?
What’s this about Chuck Schumer? Post a link to more info about this, or elaborate, please.
Who, what, when, where, etcetera.

That's alright. We all share that particular wish.
Thanks for the clarification. He is still creepy though.
....it’s happening now because the media and the DNC said it was about time women came forward and exposed those who avoided detection for decades.....So Hollywood, media, and just about every water cooler discussion was about Trump and his treatment of women....the obvious was very clear when they were squawking like crows when the queen of enablers was the opponent.... they couldn’t control the flood gates
I don't think he wouldn't have said that if he didn't have some inside knowledge of the event.
