Another former staff member for Rep. John Conyers alleged Tuesday the Michigan Democrat made unwanted sexual advances toward her multiple times. Serving as a deputy chief of staff at the time, Deanna Maher, 77, said Conyers stripped in front of her in a Washington hotel room in 1997.
"I was absolutely shaking, and he took off his clothes," Maher told CNN. "Then I figured out, 'Oh my god, what did I do? How stupid at my age that I walked in and got myself into a situation like that.'"
Maher, who was in her 50s at the time, told the Associated Press she "felt honored" to attend a three-day Congressional Black Caucus event with Conyers, but later discovered they would be sharing a two bedroom hotel suite.

when I arrived in Nashville for a concert, I found out the dimwit “nice” girl I was sharing a room with had said some dude could share with us. I said no effing way and as soon as he arrived at the airport I said, “you need to find a room”.
He did. These women are so effing dumb. PS I am female. Just not that stupid.
Yeah,,, bullcrap. I’ve known some actual “ladies”. And I know how they would have handled being surprised with the fact they are going to share a hotel room with a married man as some sort of fait accompli. I’ve also known a few golddigging whores. This one is clearly not in the lady category.

I don’t doubt her accusations at all. I just don’t think she needed to say she was shocked to learn it was a 2 bedroom suite. As I said, she should have known.
It wasn’t normal, but his deniable plausibility of assuring privacy with her own bedroom may have been enough for her to feel there would not be any kind of situation like this. There’s a thin line between misplaced trust and naivety.
Please STOP attacking these women!

If she were a gold digger, why would she wait until she’s almost 80 to come forward at a time when other women are making accusations about him? Maybe she’s not a lady by your definition, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t a whore looking to sleep her way to the top but just a naive campaign worker.

Baloney. She shared a hotel suite with a married man and whether it was a surprise or not, she went along with it. I’ve known ladies, and I’ve known whores.
Like i said, Conyers sucks and i’m glad to see him go. But no sympathy for her whatsoever.
She stayed in his room for money reasons, career etc. Now she is talking for money reasons, settlements, etc.
