Senator John McCain has fired another volley in his war of words with President Donald Trump, claiming that his fellow Republican lacks principles and beliefs and simply takes advantage of situations. McCain has not hidden his distaste for Trump since the businessman launched his campaign for the White House, and that has led to regular, often personal, attacks from the president.

I have never heard of a senator disrespecting a sitting president like this. Perhaps I haven’t followed politics closely enough, but seriously is anyone else aware of anything like this? He comes off as a very divisive spiteful old man.

Yeah, as much as I enjoy McCain being ridiculed, Trump made a mistake there. Why? Isn't it long past time we stopped coddling and kowtowing to all the little tin pot dictator wannabes on Capitol Hill? They all lie to us during elections, then go to DC to use their positions and insider knowledge to get fabulously wealthy while screwing us average folks every possible way they can think up. I, for one, am so glad then candidate Trump gored a few oxes on his way to the presidency -- the disgusting McCain's most of all.

McCain whining! That is not a statement made from a position of perceived strength. Basically McCain called Trump a Maverick of sorts and then whines about him using it to an advantage.

Why? Isn't it long past time we stopped coddling and kowtowing to all the little tin pot dictator wannabes on Capitol Hill? Because, like it or not, Trump needed McCain to advance his agenda. McCain is such a petty, unprincipled, vindictive little toad that, once insulted, he would do anything he could to torpedo Trump even if bad for the country. I'm aware that Trump was responding to criticism by McCain, but Trump probably could have handled it in a way that was less damaging to himself.
