Well that is what she wants, of course.

Fit 30? You sure she's not started traveling down that Obama fascist model of government/business cooperation?

The shops should buy a couple dozen doughnuts and sell them for $15 each. That is if anybody is interested in eating.

Stupid and a friend of criminals is no way to go through life in a sane city, but then, again, it’s Philadelphia.

I went to college down the street from the store mentioned in the beginning of the story. It was a rough neighborhood on a good day until Chief Rizzo took over and starting killing criminals. Then the working people had a respite from serious crime until the next Democrat mayor (after Mayor Rizzo) came in and let crime rise (and I don’t believe it has ever stopped, even with Ramsey as their Police Chief today).

Cindy Bass is a leftist ass and has no class. Wonder how much the local gangs are paying her to sponsor this legislation? Remember, this is Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Harm”.

The first time one of the stores or banks gets robbed (especially if someone is killed) there will be lots of lawsuit that will bankrupt the city.

Actually, she might have a point here. I am not real happy about pushing that law, but those shops are an eyesore, health hazard and moral quicksand patch.

They only exist to feed the drinking habits of some of the people in that area. I wish they would go away also.

What will she say to banks that have branches in the city?

If you take away the liquor stores, a lot of the ‘hood will become a food desert.

I can’t believe she doesn’t know how to solve this problem, outlaw robbery and then the stores don’t need bulletproof glass. /S

The bill should be called ‘Thugs opportunity for shooting victims during robberies Act.’

So do I but let’s be realistic. The current population doesn’t want food. They want cheap liquor and cigs.
