Mueller is hanging by a thread. When the FBI informant Chambers testifies on Uranium One, and provides documentary proof that the FBI knew of illegal Russian activity but did not pass on that information to either congress or the agencies entrusted with approving the deal, Mueller will be finished. He was head of the FBI at the time, and either Mueller didn’t know what he should have known, or he was part of a conspiracy to keep the information secret. At that point, Mueller can either resign, or Trump or Sessions can fire him, and while the media will howl, congress will back Trump up.
It has been over 6 weeks since the FBI informant brought all this information to the forefront. So far the LIBS and Reps have done everything to dismiss this information. They outed the CI. They have yet to schedule anything. They made an agreement to get the records and Fusion redacted the important information. No recourse because Sessions is AWOL. The informant was Campbell unless there are two of them. Never heard of Chambers!
He should be, but he's effectively the AG for all such matters, and Trump's hands are being tied by Ryan and McConnell. Unless there's some new blood to the fight, the lines are already drawn, and Mueller is in the driver's seat as of now.
Is that Chambers as in Whittaker Chambers?
Or did you mean William Campbell?
