The four young men had just started their marijuana harvest in rural Northern California when a dozen sheriff's deputies swooped in with guns drawn, arrested them and spent the day chopping down 150 bushy plants with machetes.

I was born in 45, and lived in SF SouthBay, I remember the first drug bust our School had Probably 1960, so know the ends and outs of that whole culture. Later worked in Teen Challenge rehab centers in 70s 80s. This is no where near a comparison of what that was like. Different Generations raised on Technology we only dreamed about. No moral or cultural values. So does this surprise me what is happening absolutely not, does it help people Medically they say it does. I guess maybe it is a not in my backyard thing but to see a Lovely hideaway and quite place to raise your Children and Grandchildren in disintegrate before your eyes does raise your fighting spirit up against whatever the obstruction is

Yes the green is the bottom line, to hear them tell it they are doing Society a great service, discounting to the Society living all around them the damage they are doing to their Community. As soon as season is harvested they leave and take their green with them spending it in another County.
