Murphy's win boosts prospects for legal marijuana in New Jersey

Wrong; I've never been drug-tested for any of my jobs in the tech sector, and all my (ex)employers are doing quite well. (Not that they'd have found any drug but caffeine if they had tested me.)
Every day you live auto accidents, work-place accidents, crime, and drug addicts? With all due respect, I call Bravo Sierra.
That’s all we need, more folks wandering about in befuddled unemployability, on the government dole because of their “disability”.
So your theory is that people who before legalization were responsible enough to avoid breaking the law, will after legalization be so irresponsible as to smoke themselves into befuddled unemployability? Can you provide any reason to accept this dubious theory?
NJ looking to join the United Stoner States we R.
Has all of those increases occurred in states that have legalized marijuana? >>
it seems to be...
Who is gonna toss grenades in infants cribs now? >>
I remember that, so sad but it’s not an excuse to legalize addictive drugs.
you are confusing the terms “conservative” and “libertarian”.
you are confusing the terms conservative and libertarian.
Conservatives support a return to Prohibition?

"Seems" in what way? You've visited every one of those states? Or have seen statistics?
Just because it's the law, does not make the law just. That's why we have trial by jury. The framers knew tyrants have passed unjust laws since recorded history.
Three words: eighteen year olds.
If legalization occurs, I simply want it be legislated that drug dependence be treated as a BEHAVIOR, not as an ILLNESS or DISABILITY. Let charity take care of those who toke themselves into oblivion, not my tax dollars.
No. Conservatives balk at paying for the results of other people's BEHAVIOR. Drug abusers, alcoholics, diseased homosexuals and straight libertines are treated as victims. Bit they are only victims of their own BEHAVIOR.
Bit = But

EIghteen year olds before legalization are responsible enough to avoid breaking the law, but will after legalization be so irresponsible as to smoke themselves into befuddled unemployability? Still looks like clear nonsense.

I support neither your tax dollars nor mine being stolen for anybody's care. I note in passing that you've put yourself on the opposite side from FReepers who argue that drugs must remain illegal because addiction robs users of choice.
[post #28:] you are confusing the terms conservative and libertarian.
Conservatives support a return to Prohibition?
No. Conservatives balk at paying for the results of other people's BEHAVIOR. Drug abusers, alcoholics, diseased homosexuals and straight libertines are treated as victims. Bit they are only victims of their own BEHAVIOR.
Libertarians balk at that too - so your post #28 remains irrelevant to anything previously said.
As for behavior, see my post #35 immediately above.
If legal cannabis is what the citizens of New Jersey want, I have no problem with this.
Let the people vote on the issue would be my only suggestion.

Are you saying the the voters of NJ are single-issue voters?
I bet they voted because they were tired of Christie and didn’t want Christie’s Lt. Governor in Trenton.
People who suffer from illness want to get over it.
“Are you saying the the voters of NJ are single-issue voters?”
No. I’m saying if the people want cannabis legalized they should be given a chance to vote on it as we did here in Florida for medical cannabis.
New Jersey’s governor & legislature could chose to pass a law that legalizes cannabis & that would be fine with me as well.
