Obama had the same problem ... maybe if you're liberal with mixed parents the (totally imaginary) cognitive dissonance of being half oppressor and half oppressed makes you spend your entire life trying to prove it's not (half) your fault.

I imagine there is a lot less consternation if you are mixed but don't have a set of delusional values that make you think everything is about race and therefore your self is split in half.

But it does seem to be a theme with those two, and it sure does cause them to act out their confusion and tear down a lot of things.

OK, I'm sleep deprived, but I'm trying to point out an analogous situation. Kaepernick is identifying as an oppressed minority, and conflating the current issues of blacks in the 21st century with what black slaves and native Americans dealt with in the 19th century. There are no parallels of his life with black slavery in America, or with ‘trail of tears’ type of suffering by native Americans. He's living a life that puts him in the upper 1% of the world. My friends, similarly, are conflating their daily lives with black oppression and slavery. They are, in actuality, living very well - but some, annoyingly, like to play the victim card. To me, propping oneself up as a victim, when you are not, is not much different from propping oneself up as a hero (e.g. ‘stolen valor’) when you are not.

As for Guevara’s views on race, he did not mince words. After the Revolution’s victory in 1959, he famously said:

“We’re going to do for blacks exactly what blacks did for the revolution. By which I mean: nothing.”

And no, it wasn’t just hard feelings over how Cuban blacks had supported the biracial dictator Fulgencio Batista. With Guevara it was more of a conviction, as we can glean from another quote.

Speaking of blacks he said:

Below are the names and photos of 35 Police Officers who were murdered by the Black Panthers and the subsequent Black Liberation Army in the 60s, 70s and 80s [click link for list and details].

The Black Liberation Army was an organization that grew out of the Black Panther Party, composed of former Black Panther Party members, operating from about 1971-1980. Another two police officers on the list were murdered by the Weather Underground, a domestic terrorist group with ties to the Black Liberation Army.

Despite this readily available information, today the internet was full of articles criticizing those who were upset by Beyonce’s Super Bowl Halftime performance, and questioning how anyone could be upset over a woman “affirming her blackness.” Their analysis couldn’t have been more off.

We have no issues with someone “affirming their blackness” or any other identity they want to affirm. We do take issue when people pay homage to a group that used terrorism and violence to promote racism and revolutionary socialism – a group that murdered dozens of police officers in cold blood.

As you scroll through the list of officers below, look at their photos and read their stories. Among these officers are black men and white men. Rookies and veterans from across the country. Most were killed in unprovoked attacks and ambushes. They all left behind families….

Perhaps Beyonce, someone from the NFL, and someone representing CBS, could read through this list and tell us if they still stand by their decision to honor the Black Panthers during the Super Bowl. Then perhaps they could explain their answers to the surviving wives and children of these fallen officers. ...”

FYI: Although many of its members believe it to be for real, the so-called "Nation Of Islam" is a communist concoction along the lines of Jeremiah Wright's phony "Black Liberation Theology", which stems from "Liberation Theology", which was created by the Soviet KGB back in the 1960s. Farrakhan's true true hero is mass-murderer Mao tse-Tung.

It shouldn't have been too difficult to figure out from what I posted above that Kaepernick's agenda is a communist one.

AIM [American Indian Movement] Responsible for Anna Mae’s Death

Anna Mae Pictou Aquash, a Mi’kmaq Indian from Canada, was brutally murdered in 1975. Her murder can only be described as a conspiracy and a cover-up by the American Indian Movement.

One man, Arlo Looking Cloud, an Oglala Lakota, and a member of AIM, is serving life in prison for her murder while his accomplice, the man he accused of pulling the trigger, John “Boy” Graham, a native of the Yukon in Canada, is awaiting extradition to the United States to stand trial.
