And sanctuary cities and states don’t attract folks???
“People don’t want to see homeless people around,” said Tyrone Valiant, 70, as he waited outside the Malibu library for a bus. “Now they’re cutting off the food.”
No, you don’t mean it do you Tyrone?
Im sure most of the people at this Methodist Church were very well off and probably elderly - and probably lived in a better neighborhood than where the church was, which may have been more or less middle class. The churches in my town are always slapping themselves on the back for having feeding programs in my neighborhood, where of course neither ministers nor congregation lives (most of the small surviving congregation lives in the gated subdivisions). It does indeed attract fighting, nasty bums, along with drugged out throw away kids, and all the churches do is provide food and then criticize the residents for complaining.
If they used this to go out and evangelize or even try to get the salvageable people into treatment programs, that would be a whole different matter. But all they do is make themselves feel good about themselves.
