Palestinian refugees' leaving Lebanon en masse

The number of “Palestinian refugees” in Lebanon has decreased significantly over the past few years and many are leaving for other countries to try to improve their situation.

In an interview with the Hamas newspaper Palestine on Thursday, Hamas’s representative in Lebanon Ali Baraka said that some 260,000 “Palestinian refugees” had left the refugee camps in Lebanon to various countries in recent years because of the difficult security and economic conditions.

According to him, the figures he cited are based on a poll conducted by the Lebanese authorities and which indicates that there is a deliberate action to bring about the emigration of Palestinian refugees from countries bordering Israel.

"The Zionist enemy is working in this way to empty the refugee camps and to destroy the foundation for the right of return," Baraka claimed.

He further argued that this emigration should be dealt with through activities to improve the situation in the camps and through assistance from UNRWA to ensure stability in the camps prior to the return of the “refugees” to “Palestine”.

"assistance from UNRWA to ensure stability in the camps prior to the return of the “refugees” to “Palestine”."

Translation: keep them from leaving. Fix barbed wire. Double guards. Shoot to kill.

I guess after 69 years, it’s time to call it a day regarding return to the lands that the ‘Zionist Entity’ now holds - but you have to hand it to these Palestinians, they’re all collecting Social Security now (or whatever they have there) and many must be well over 100 years old.

Useful idiots awakening and voting with their feet. Why live in camps serving to make the heads of Hammas wealthy and powerful in exchange for a cot and pot to piss in?

Self-Deportation. It’s a beautiful thing. Set the proper incentives and watch the magic happen.

No one was kicked out of Israel when it was declared a country in 1948. The “right of return” is for Arabs who left Israel on their own accord, with the promise that they could return when all the Jews were dead. Israel, of course, recognizes no such right, and well they shouldn’t.

“....they’re all collecting Social Security now......”........

Meaning many have snuck into the U.S. across the Mexican border. Trump needs to give another “EO” to “get that wall built NOW!”

Many Palestinians were allowed to emigrate to the US under Obama.

A few 10,000’s is a big deal over there. Especially when they are dis-proportionally young men. Then the chain migration effect will bring several times as many family members over time.

If surrounding countries like Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia allow significant numbers to emigrate, and the UN were to sunset the welfare payments, the situation would change greatly.

Nobody was kicked out of Lebanon either. It was established as a French Mandate following the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1918. It became independent in 1943 with a unique power sharing arrangement between the Christian Maronite and Muslim Druze population. Everyone got along so well that Lebanon was referred to as the Switzerland of the Middle East and rivaled Israel in development into a modern state.

The civil war and resulting UN interference to turn Lebanon into a refugee camp for Pallies, Hezbollah and other imported foreigners transformed Lebanon into what we have today.

Now, the natives are trying to transform it back. A Lebanon for Christians and moderate Muslims is a giant step toward restoring that peace.

They’re several generations removed. The “refugees” were Arabs who had lived in Israel from 1946 on or earlier, which is bogus, but that’s UNRWA’s definition, and their children and children’s children are also “refugees”. It’s like a perverse aristocratic title, entitling them to ration cards and other “rights,” among them the “right” to stay in a refugee camp and rot. Some of these “camps” are really cities now, one of them in the middle of Jerusalem, with an UNRWA office right in the middle of it. All this so that they’ll have the “right” to return to Israel, and crap it up. I don’t blame them at all for leaving. I blame them for staying if they have a chance at a real life elsewhere.

I wouldn’t call Druze Muslims. They’re some sort of a weird hybrid, but the end result is they are not out to murder, rape or even cause problems. Druze are a staple element in the IDF and Israeli police. You can walk through a Druze town without being accosted, and they even have tourist shops where they sell divers crap to tourists.

Eradicating Hizbollah and the various Pali factions in Lebanon would be a giant step forward. It was supposed to be an eastern Christian homeland just like Israel was meant to be a Jewish one.

Thanks, but I know that - that’s why I was having fun with it.

But like you allude to, it a GREAT EXAMPLE of how much the world community simply hates Israel.

They never liked us much in the first place. Ever since Bar Kochba’s revolt. So, what’s the downside. Might as well have fun.
