No one was kicked out of Israel when it was declared a country in 1948. The “right of return” is for Arabs who left Israel on their own accord, with the promise that they could return when all the Jews were dead. Israel, of course, recognizes no such right, and well they shouldn’t.

Nobody was kicked out of Lebanon either. It was established as a French Mandate following the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1918. It became independent in 1943 with a unique power sharing arrangement between the Christian Maronite and Muslim Druze population. Everyone got along so well that Lebanon was referred to as the Switzerland of the Middle East and rivaled Israel in development into a modern state.

The civil war and resulting UN interference to turn Lebanon into a refugee camp for Pallies, Hezbollah and other imported foreigners transformed Lebanon into what we have today.

Now, the natives are trying to transform it back. A Lebanon for Christians and moderate Muslims is a giant step toward restoring that peace.
