For more reasons that you might expect, I think we should all be thankful for the President. I know I am thankful.
President Trump is not perfect. He was not my choice to be President. But I am thankful for him in many ways.

Here is the deal. Him, Kristol, et al cost Trump the popular vote. Can you imagine where we would be if they had embraced Trump, even holding their nose publicly, before the election?
Anyway, Erick's journey is not over. He thinks politics can be integrated (conformed) to his faith. Or that he can interact in the political world with a paradigm based on his faith.
To me, those are the words of a candidate. Otherwise, he still needs to realize that politics is a completely separate "of the world" amoral and very often immoral institution and it a'int going back to the days of George Washington. If we understand that, then at times we may do things like compromise in the political world for the good of the greater world, and do so consciously without it being an extension or expression of our otherwise uncompromising faith. Politics then becomes a servant of our faith, and not a vicar.
At this point, I would rather vote for someone that says "I will pick a judge from this list" than from someone who has uncompromising "pro-life" values based on their faith. I believe the former serves my faith more faithfully and I'm done with the latter as a litmus test because that test does not necessarily translate into effectiveness in the political world. I don't think Erick's journey is to that point yet.

What is he talking about? I read a strong undercurrent that I don’t have enough background to interpret. He’s praising Jonah Goldberg and Bill Kristol, dedicated never-Trumpers who are still traveling in the wrong direction. Somehow I’m not reading this as pro-Trump.
Never forget this guy publicly disinvited Trump over HIS treatment of Megan Kelly. If this guy had his way, Hillary would be in the whitehouse right know.

Dear Erick - I’m thankful you didn’t get your way in 2016. Yes, I know the primary is over, but you are a jerk and I won’t forget those who tried to destroy Trump, even though you’re now trying to apply lipstick to the pig now. Mark Levin too. I will forever be skeptical of your motives.
