A federal court unsealed documents in a lawsuit over Fusion GPS’s bank records on Tuesday, revealing new details of payments made last year to the opposition research firm that commissioned the infamous Trump dossier.

The documents also shed new light on requests made by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence about payments that Fusion GPS made to journalists.

The records were unsealed in response to a ruling made last week by Richard Leon, a federal judge in the district court in Washington, D.C.

The bank documents list 112 transactions involving Fusion GPS.

I'm not giving up on Sessions yet. Word has it he was already investigating U1 before he testified last week. And technically we are not supposed to know what he is working on.

Who is Baker Hostetler?

From Grassley's web site:

Prevezon’s lobbying efforts were reportedly commissioned by Mr. Katsyv, who organized them through a Delaware non-profit he formed and through the law firm then representing Prevezon in the asset forfeiture case, Baker Hostetler.[6]  Among others, the efforts involved lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin and Fusion GPS, a political research firm led by Glenn Simpson.[7]  According to press reports, Baker Hostetler partner Mark Cymrot briefed congressional staff on the asset forfeiture case, attempting to discredit the Justice Department’s version of events and instead push the Russian government’s account.[8]  Rinat Akhmetshin, along with former Congressman Ron Dellums, reportedly lobbied the House Foreign Affairs Committee, telling staffers “they were lobbying on behalf of a Russian company called Prevezon and ask[ing] [the Committee] to delay the Global Magnitsky Act or at least remove Magnitsky from the name,” as well as telling the staffers “it was a shame that this bill has made it so Russian orphans cannot be adopted by Americans.”[9]  Mr. Akhmetshin was also involved in the screening, targeting Congressional staffers and State Department officials, of an anti-Magnitsky propaganda film.[10]  For its part, Fusion GPS reportedly “dug up dirt” on Mr. Browder’s property and finances, and attempted to generate negative stories about Mr. Browder and Hermitage in the media, shopping stories to a number of reporters.[11]

If Hillary and DNC paid the law firm (which they did).
Then the law firm paid Fusion GPS (which they did).
Then Fusion GPS paid Russians (which they did).

it’s money laundering on the first order.

Based on what we know, there's no underlying crime. There can't be money laundering. Just because it is politically distasteful doesn't mean it's a crime.

q-clinton paid a baker for a loaf of bread.
The baker paid a miller for flour.
The miller paid a farmer for wheat.

Sessions said there is no investigation of Uranium One. Besides, Sessions has recused himself from matters related to the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation. That effectively prohibits Sessions from being involved in any investigation into Uranium One since the alleged crimes involve payments to both Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

Unless Sessions has somehow "unrecused" himself from investigating the Clinton Foundation, we can be pretty confident that there is no meaningful investigation into Uranium One.

Another large law firm. Seems like lawfirms are the new laundry mats.

Boom!

I would add so all the authorized wiretapping, spying, etc... from the FISA court of president Trump was approved based on a FAKE RUSSIAN DOSSIER....

It was never real evidence. It was political the entire time. The only people collaborating with random Russians was Hillary and the DNC.

Now how did 17 intelligence (really 3 FBI,CIA and NSA) miss this or was it more likely have they become politicized?

This is very troubling to me. Where did you hear that Sessions was already investigating U1? I'm concerned any such "investigation" would be a whitewash since Sessions has recused himself from investigating the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation.

Yes, we owe President Trump a debt of gratitude, but we also need to acknowledge each one of us who stood together with DJT and voted for him against an unprecedented political assault on DJT and the movement (MAGA) by the GOPe establishment party, the Democrats, opposition media, the Obama Administration and the Deep State. Political assaults that continue to this day!

The progressive weakness. Always falsely accuse your opponents of what progressives themselves are actually guilty of doing. Noticed what happened after they falsely accused Judge Moore of sexual harassment. You can set your watch by that theory.

Is illegal to pay foreigners and to hide campaign expenses. That’s the underlying crime. They used lawyers to hide it... Hence the laundering.

Absolutely. But that will come after the day to understand charges. The laundering charges to hide campaign expenses is easy enough for even most democrats to understand. Once that sticks then we tattoo the home game dossier and putting to the fisa court on Comey, lynch, and obama

Is illegal to pay foreigners

That is flat out untrue. It is not illegal to pay foreigners. I have no clue how you came to that conclusion.

hide campaign expenses. That’s the underlying crime. They used lawyers to hide it... Hence the laundering.

I hate to see conservatives advocate the use of process crimes against their political opponents. Of course, I'm the same guy that hates to see conservatives surrender on their demand that character be a requirement for public office. Republicans have turned into Democrats so slowly I hardly noticed.

How is money laundering a process crime?

Also I confused paying the foreign person with allowing the nonresident foreign person from paying the campaign.

Did any foreign money pay for the political dossier? If so that would be illegal.
