More news in the scandal involving Wes Goodman, the rising young Christian conservative Ohio state representative who resigned after being caught canoodling with a man in his office.
Turns out that not only did the Family Research Councils Tony Perkins know about his closeted homosexuality as well as his tendency to come on to younger men (despite his being married and publicly a conservative, pro-family Christian), but many more people in conservative Washington knew about him too.
Caleb Hull at the Independent Journal Review reports that he has talked to 30 people who have had experience with Goodmans homoerotic derring-do.

Shame on them all. Anyone that knew about this predator and hid it share his guilt. Out them all, fire or retire them, force them to resign if in elected positions. We need clear zero tolerance devoid of politics.
One wonders, if Lot went to Washington D.C., whether he would tell the Lord: “Just go ahead and nuke it.”
This pervert resigns immediately while the Al Frankens and Bill Clintons of the world just “apologize” and plow right ahead, resignations be darned. SMH...
The guy looks like a poofer
"It's back to the closet again."
Those who perpetuate evil in G-d’s name have a special deep, hot hole in hell.
Christ did remind us to remember Lot’s wife. The whole nation is afflicted with her mindset. I keep wondering the ratio of believers in US compared to old time Sodom.
Worked for Perkins for years, and find this allegation profoundly disturbing, more than perhaps anyone on this thread can imagine, given our profound dedication to defending Biblical truth.
I sympathize. It is difficult to be “woke” by profoundly disturbing news. I don’t know anything about this source site, never heard of them, but reading the article it sounded like a democrat, where he says he razzed his room mates in DC about Newt Gingrich having an affair.
Doesn’t take long to realize many will let the faith down and in many places religion is more a lucrative industry than a calling, and we must be cautious and braced to be let down, where money, fame and a little power can corrupt our good sense and reason.
I read it as he was razzed by his roommate saying that the Democrats had the goods on Gingrich, and would use them if they felt threatened. From the article:
“I moved to Washington to work as a journalist for The Washington Times when I was 25. I lived in a group house on Capitol Hill with five other people, including a couple of Democrats. We all got along well. When the GOP took over Congress in the historical 1994 sweep, I taunted my Democratic housemates (in a friendly way) with jibes about Speaker Gingrich.
One of my housemates, who worked for a Democratic House member, told me, Were not worried. We know that Gingrich is having an affair. If he pushes too hard, well drop the bomb on him.
It has been going on for at least 50 years, if not 80.
