Since Letterman’s admission of that behavior, I have never watched him and never will.
The hypocrisy. It burns.
Yezhov was a victim of his own murderous success. Having directed the arrest & extermination of over a million Soviet citizens during the NKVD’s “Yezhovshchina” purge, he became in Stalin’s eyes someone who knew too much & had seen too much.
So Yezhov was arrested, shot, tried, & cremated. Liquidated, in other words.
Is it coming time for them to do their annual “donate big and get this nifty tote” fundraiser????
Remember Letterman's response to attempted blackmail regarding his former extramarital relationship with one of the show's employees? I think it resulted in some jail time for the guy trying to shake him down. That didn't make him into a hero -- but it may have led to the situation today,where the allegations are made lawyer to lawyer, in order to get a settlement without courts or publicity. Thanks Leaning Right.
Letterman referred to Palin, Alaska's governor, as having the style of a "slutty flight attendant."

I guess shooting him was not enough? Stalin had to have him tried, too?
