It is the poly that is causing mass rejections: BP experiences about an 80-90% failure rate on the poly, whereas the Secret Service, FBI, other federal agencies, they have about a 30% failure rate.
Oh, if you still have an active Secret or TS, then they have a new waiver program for the poly. Don’t know if it is still active. Worth checking.
Yea something is not right with the story. I spent 25 years with the patrol and I can tell you that unless they got a lucky shot with the first rock and knocked me out cold the only sound you would hear would be led going down range.

I didn’t see mention of any weapons, nor whether weapons were drawn, nor why his partner did not get some rounds off. Makes me wonder if they were armed. Should have had this information in the article.

My son shot a drug smuggler that tried to kill him and no blow-back. Good shoot.
The Agents were responding to a sensor alarm and when they got there they determined it was an active alarm.
One Agent stayed and started his assessment of the trails. The other Agent went back to their vehicle and called in to advise the sensor had a good “hit” and he went back to the sensor/partner.
The Agent that stayed behind was jumped from behind or the side before he could respond. They beat him to death and laid in wait for the second Agent to return and they ambushed him as well.
My son was jumped by a group a few years ago and was able to subdue three. The picture an other Agent took of my son just after the fight was chilling to see his eyes. He wasn’t hurt too terribly bad.
Sometimes when you are swarmed and tangled-up fighting multiple mules, drawing your weapon would be to hand it over.
There are no more “innocent” illegal aliens struggling their way north. They are mules, carrying drugs for the cartels as a way to pay them for an escort to a house where they stay and then are either released or ransomed off to another group of illegals.
Used to be dropping the load and running was the thing they did when discovered. Nowadays, they fight and try to kill the Agents.
