University of Nebraska officials announced Friday that new steps are being taken in relation to an incident involving a conservative student Aug. 25.
NU President Hank Bounds said the graduate student-lecturer who called a conservative student a “neo-fascist” for recruiting for Turning Point USA would no longer teach at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

To the left, ANYTHING they disagree with is fascist.
They think a proposed highway should have 4 lines. You think 6 lanes would be better. Therefore, you are a fascist. And you are probably a racist too.
The really disturbing part is that only the radical left used to think that way. But now, everyone on the left thinks that way.
Is she still a graduate student? Did they change her from a graduate assistant teaching for tuition to a non-teaching aide? Or maybe even to a full scholarship so she no longer has to work? The left is duplicitous, the college left doubly so.

Ah, I wish I had your optimism. I think it’s more like this old saying that I just made up:
What would shock our parents merely disturbs us. And what disturbs us will be accepted as normal by our children.
Think about gay marriage, illegal immigration, etc. All are now seen as normal by many young people. I must unfortunately add the death of free speech to that list.
Especially in places like Lincoln where if drive 15 minutes in any direction you are surrounded by cornfields. What social justice warriors spew can be found at the south end of any north-facing cow.

Fifty years ago the victim was a black child standing in the school house door. It's the same hate that motivates the bully... and the same 'groupthink' that allows the bullies to get away with it.
