I agree to all you stated and I too played football in high school(maybe I too have CTE , Haha).

If CTE was known back then, my mom probably wouldn't have allowed me to play. She didn't like it because it was a "rough sport" But Pop played it as well so I had him in my corner so I got to play.

CTE may kill football in the long run but Goodell and the Knellers are strangling the sport now(at least for the pros)

And each day it goes on, and with Goodell at the head, my love for my Cowboys and the sport dies a little bit each day.

The NFL has Colin cancer. The disease has spread and is terminal.

Most people are not paying attention and normalcy bias is in effect.

Interesting. I know what normalcy bias is, but how does it apply here?

There are many people who don’t even like Jones or the Cowboys that are on his side with this one.

soon the league won’t have any best interests since its committing suicide by its anti-American insults against its fan base (and revenue source)

If it was simply a business decision, it would be done.

But many of the owners are independently wealthy aside from their NFL ownership. Their teams are a toy to them and their ideology comes before their investment.

Jerry is in the fight of his life.

But I wouldn’t bet against him...

I agree. I don’t watch the NFL, however, the NFL has a very bad track record in court against its’ owners. Particularly when Jones is expressing an opinion on the organization he has supported and, fostered and built over the past several decades.

how much longer will the NFL exist as we know it?

Are they still playing games? Who would have known.

If Jerry Jones gets booted, watch for him to start up an alternative league. Folks still have a huge demand to watch great football, but in this season of escalating patriotism, the fans will not tolerate the antics of a few ingrates.

When the league as an organization does anything, isn’t it Roger Goodell doing it? So, in essence, Roger Goodell is saying that Jerry Jones interfering with getting a huge new contract for Roger Goodell is not in the league’s interest. Seems like a conflict. Now, if the statement came from a majority of owners, then it might be different. But I think it was drafted by a flunkey who works for Roger Goodell.

That’s a terrifying thought........

I’m rooting for lacrosse, a truly American sport. Football came from rugby and those British colonialists. It is fast paced (unlike baseball), has hitting, speed, balls and sticks, throwing, shooting and a goalie, but not a sissy goalie like soccer, a tough goalie like hockey.

This is ALL coming from liberal douchebag Arthur Blank, who heads the compensation committee and is in league with both Goodell and Kaepernick and against Trump.

Yep. They are busy trying to steer and rebrand the NFL in a progressive direction. Rush nailed this on his show yesterday. Some folks are getting on to the proggie con here. They won’t be able to keep it under wraps much longer if this keeps up.

The Dallas Cowboys are worth an estimated $5 Billion according to recent reports. That would make them the most valuable sports franchise anywhere. If Jerry Jones is forced to sell, and he is offered say $3.5 Billion, he can show $1.5 Billion in damages in court. Maybe Roger Goodell can write him a check?

Generally speaking, I think Jerry Jones is a world-class jerk.

On this issue: he's a world-class jerk that I agree 100% with.

The NFL and that milquetoast POS Roger Goodell damaged the NFL.

Jerry Jones is 100% correct.

As far as I'm concerned, the NFL can suck it. Haven't watched a game this year and my list of demands that must be met in order for me to even consider watching a game in the future now includes:

1. Changing the league's language to state Players MUST stand during the National anthem;

2. Fire Roger Goodell

Can you believe that POS Goodell is demanding $50 million a year, private jet and health care for his entire family for life?

FUNFL!!!

I really have to wonder if this is fake news designed to inoculate the Cowboys from SJW backlash.

“Hey Jerry you’ve taken the biggest hit over this down in redneck central so we’ll pretend you’re on the outs with Goodell and you can be a hero and the rubes will rush back to watch the boys.”

I don’t know. Sounds crazy but we live in strange times.

I agree with you but the problem with soccer is the TV networks couldn’t get in enough ads to cover the expense; or so I’ve been told.
