When I was in Navy bootcamp they used to call us nasty names and makes us carry heavy rifles. We were forced to learn to fight dangerous oil fires. What horrors. Then I was sent to Vietnam. (Sob). So unfair. But these poor college kids have it so much rougher today. I feel so sorry for them.
Yeah, so much rougher than,say, going through a frat Hell Week in the '50s that was designed by and for WWII and Korean War vets going to college on the G. I. Bill (as I did); or through the Camp Smith NCO School with West Point Cadets as tac officers and a platoon sergeant whose first military hitch was in Canada's Princess Pat's Light Infantry Brigade before he came to the States (as I did).
These "college" kids have it so-o-o tough.
