Hundreds of Westfield State University students and faculty members gathered for a walk out today in response to reports of hate crimes recently on campus.
Reports of racist vandalism, graffiti and an assault of a female student led up to the event.
Organized by the WSU Education Department, the walkout started at 12:30 p.m. on the campus green and lasted one hour.

Hidalgo demanded that the incidents that led to the walkout be called racism.
"Name the oppression and hate actions as systemic racism," she said. "They are hate crimes. They are not biases, folks. Let's call it what it is."

Most of them are practicing for the period after they get their degrees in Social Justice, Gender Identification and Assignment, 8th Century Lute and Lyre Studies, etc. where you stand around all day doing nothing and become a burden on society.

LOL! Might as well “walk out”. They aren’t learning a damn thing but hate anyway.
Astro turf/organized rally to go with the fake hate crimes. Notes left on doors multiple times that no one saw place there in busy dorm, supposed assault in brad daylight in the middle of campus with no witnesses or description by the victim. Hmmm, time for far a walkout. And what better way to ease the racial divide by giving a speech in front of a “black lives matter” sign.
Just to play it safe...they should shut down the racist school permanently. :o)
I had a few good weekends there in the early eighties.
The place is just a sewer of political correctness now.
When a noose is found on campus it turns out to be a false flag. Every. Single. Time.
And if they get out of control, everyone goes home for Thanksiving a couple of days early.
I graduated in 2010 from WSU. Never had any reports of racism, the worst I witnessed were some of the black students frequently using the N-word among themselves.
When I attended most of the students came to learn and have fun on the side. I noticed that all these incidents seem to occur only after the new President, Ramon S. Torrecilha started. I had hopes he would continue to grow the educational aspects of WSU without all the fraud and financial mismanagement under Evan Dobelle. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
