In their 2014 book North Korea: The Politics of Regime Survival, Young Whan Kihl and Hong Nack Kim noted that some restricted arm and weapons material have reached North Korea from Russia. . . . Russian companies have been among the suppliers of North Koreas nuclear program. Now Putin may be covertly supplying its missile program as well.
The key question is why Putin would exacerbate an already crisis-level situation on the Korean peninsula. The answer may be the same as to why Putin has embroiled Russia in Syria: as a way to disrupt and distract the West, especially the United States, and to make Kim Jong-un a Putin client like Syrias Assad, a dictator who becomes completely dependent on Moscow for his regional status, even his survival, and will do Moscows bidding.

Russia had many of the same problems Ukraine now has and but for the past fifteen years has gotten it under control while Ukraine is still going down the toilet, a little more every month.
The oligarchs in Ukraine are no longer waiting to get distress sale prices from EU countries for what they control because they now know the EU doesn't give a damn about Ukraine other than as a source of blond prostitutes and organs. They're selling all sorts of stuff they kept hidden for years in hopes that it being on the market will lead to them getting a ton of money for it either from the West or Russia to keep it out of the hands of Muzzies.
NK isn't the only country Ukraine has sold engines to either, it's the only one openly testing them at the moment, as much to warn off China and Russia as to piss off the US. Russia and China both like a buffer between SK and their border, that doesn't mean they like the dolt now in charge or that they won't find a way to replace him with someone who is more cooperative.
Funny how when SK was talking about making deals with NK, China, and Russia, to ensure the flow of energy South and goods North across China and Russia to Europe the Norks all of a sudden get engines that were always made in Ukraine, a country totally dependent on US goodwill and hard cold cash, ain't it?

I don’t think Putin is an idiot.
He would have to be, to trust a North Korean.
As for Syria, we already know that Damascus is scheduled to soon be an Ash Heap. I think Putin likely is aware of this fact.
.
They dont have to be right on everything to be right on this issue. Its annoying returning from Russia to a bunch of American Putinbots. I get it: Bush/Obama years were traumatic, GOP.E. has let us down, but a Putinist world order is NOT the alternative!
Lord, have mercy!
Based on my experiences in that part of the world:
In terms of “order” (the order of tyranny, mind you) - yes, the Russian State is more stable.
But fragile.
The Ukrainian State less stable.
But, in terms of the general population at large even while acknowledgng fringe elements, the Ukrainians are more ready in mind and in spirit to build a truly civil and democratic society. To take control of their own destinies.
Give it time, but they will be the ones setting the example for young Russians. They already are and the Putin government knows it, which is why they have to work doubletime to control the media narrative that following Euromaidan Revolution, everything in Ukraine is a mess when in actuality, Crimea/Donbass situation was the precise catalyst Ukrainians needed to own their identity and solidify their sense of purpose to leave the Russian sphere of influence for good.
The people who feed information to the top brass and President are working against the best interests of the US and it's really that simple. That's exactly why you can get millions donated to Hillary from the Ukraine when the only place that cash could have come from was being siphoned off of what the US provides Ukraine. How is admitting that corruption is rampant and the best interests of the American people aren't on the agenda saying we should have a "Putinist world order"
Tell the truth, that's straight out of your little Hillarybot notebook left over from the October start of the "Putin did it" campaign for you to spout when someone disagreed with you, right?
And "Putinbot", I love it when someone tosses that out because it's so, so, spastic, just like Hillary.
Have a nice day
I hope I do not sound as snarky as the other participants on these forums. My love for Russian culture originates from ballet after all and I hope to be graceful in speech and writing as well. So my apologies.
We will see how history unfolds. 2018 will be an interesting year for Russia: they host the World Cup and presidential elections in March.
Russian ballet is the icing on the Russian choreography cake as far as I'm concerned. The people on the stage may get the glory but the people choreographing it are amazing and work wonders with things you think have been done so many times there's no way there can be anything new in a production.
Opera, too. I don't remember the name of it, but Stalin's favorite opera is done as such an elaborate production now that people should watch it just to see how subtle things make a big difference.
I am grateful America served as home to emigres such as George Balanchine, Sergei Rachmaninov, and Igor Stravinsky - who all died here because their Russian souls were unable to find their expression through the darkness at home.
Putin is trying to reconcile Stalin with Russia’s precious faith and this is his demise. Our God will not be mocked.
Well GoldenState Rose.....
Why would you post a thread from a GOP Elite Group Foundation that supports Globalistic ambitions and the first person you see on their video is ‘John mcCain!
Furthermore that are head over heals pushing the Blame Russia agenda to take out Trump?
Three of their top officials are Bush men! And their aims are Globalization.
((((Caution folks!!!)))))
The Hudson Institute... is full of Bush and mcCain people...heck you see Johnny Boys face first thing on their video on their site....this article is written by those opposing Trump and his administration.... anti-Trumpers supreme!!!!!!
They’re looking for recruits to take the heat off themselves.
Dearest caww, please tell me what, in THIS SPECIFIC article you find trouble with?
Agreed.
I wasn't being an apologist for the commies. In fact, I adhere to a preference for a scorched earth policy for dealing with commies wherever you find them...Externally OR internally.
Gonna hafta put a timeline in there someplace, like since 'XXXX'.
Too bad you got into the wrong groups while visiting Russia and had such a bad experience with the youth there contrary to all other reports of their support for their President.
They are a proud people to be sure.....and frankly I look at the facts of how the people support or not their President.....just as I do here. BTW Look where we are?...Do you think we’re one united country with a fair press???
I’m tired of posters hear carrying the Demorates water to blame Russia which helps them point the finger at Trump. We have sufficient concerns about Putins Russia without this junk!
I lived, worked, studied, and performed. Not just “visited.” It can take several months for the truth to unravel. You will learn the country is one of thick facades. Stop praising Putin and brush up on Washington, Madison, and the founders of this great country who by God’s grace preserved us from the descent into madness 1917 hath wrought. (As much if the destructive the Leftist forces in this country owe their origins to Soviet cause.)
Save this country before clinging to a failing one.
Sorry typo:
I meant: the Leftist forces destroying this country owe much of their origins to the Soviet cause, which Putin has most definitely not disowned.
Save this country before clinging to a failing one.

Well if you ‘felt’ you were being lectured have at it. But this is not about feelings...nor lectures.
Putin will always covet a relationship with the US...always....and the reasons are many and numerous. Jealousy isn’t one of them.
As for N.Korea Russia and China...they treat N.Korea as ‘leverage’ in the game....always have...certainly not the people are of no concern or they wouldn’t be where they are today.
But posting an article from an anti-Trump conglomerate of GOP Elite Globalists does cause me pause of why you do so????? This isn’t the first time. And yes I understand there are those here who have had bad experiences or their families have with Soviet Russia.......and perhaps do with Putin....we all know to watch him with one eye open...
And BTW nobody here ‘supports’ Putin but we do understand he is their Leader and a statesman who is well into the games on the world stage.
Putin doesn’t care about Assad...he’s said as much...he just wants his warm water ports undisturbed... and his neighbor countries without conflict. Nato likes to push the envelope...and when they do Putin will push back.
I remember saying all the EU and US and ImF want out of Ukraine is to keep Ukraine a debtor nation....good for a revenue washing machine..which they are now....and strip their resources...which is being done thanks to Obama, Hillary mcCain and Biden.
I agree Damascus will be fattened in due time...the question will be who gets what’s left of the country. Iran, Sauds, Russia....US all have skin in the game there and agendas of what they want to do with it.
